An Us Day.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

Again I was up before 7:30 and only had time to get things ready for breakfast before I sat at the computer. I couldn’t have edited more than five lines when I hear Kathy standing behind me. So stopping what I was doing we sat together enjoying our breakfast and talking of our planned outing before going to read our E-mails and morning blogs. I had only just sat down to start reading when the phone rang. Lynn the apartment manager was calling to say the exterminator would be returning after lunch in another shot at eliminating the Yellow Jackets from both our apartment and our neighbors. Just then I had to cut the call short because Kathy had another couple of them cornered in our bedroom. Once we finished reading I rewrapped the bathroom exhaust fan vent in nylon screen in an attempt to keep the Yellow Jackets out of the apartment.

I returned to editing the file until lunch time and was starting to wonder why it was taking so long to downsize this file. That was when I looked at the word counter and noted that is still above thirteen thousand words and that is after I’ve gone through a third of it. The last file I did was only five thousand words before I started.

Around 1:00 Kathy and I were leaving just as Dan the apartment handyman and the exterminator were just coming up the hallway. We talked for a few minutes about my suspicions of where these things are continuing to come in such as the bathroom vent and the bedroom windows. We then headed for the parking lot and once we were sitting in the car we were witness to Dan swatting at Yellow Jackets in our bedroom window.

We went to the Devonshire Mall for a couple of reasons. First we needed to walk for exercise and shortly after 3:30 we went to the Odeon Cineplex. We saw the “The Butler” two weeks ago and loved it. Today we saw “Prisoners” which is a suspense thriller with some action scenes involved. Again Kathy and I gave it two thumbs up and the best part was it didn’t cost us anything to see either of those shows. For Christmas the kids give us what we ask for Gift Cards. Gift cards to eat out and gift cards to go to the movies. They never go to waste and we truly do appreciate them.

It was after 6:30 when the show let out so we stopped at McDonalds where we managed to get more Monopoly Game pieces. Back at the apartment the first thing I had to do before writing the post was to kill a couple more Yellow Jackets. Good Golly when will this all end? Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Why do skeletons drink a lot of milk?

Because it is good for the bones.

  1. It has been a long time since we have been to a movie theater. Maybe we should try and get back in that mode:)

  2. We went through the yellow jacket thing last fall. I had up to 30 of them in the bedroom every evening. Finally we were able to shut down their operation. I felt sorry for the insects, they helped pollinate all summer long, but in my bedroom? No way.
