Adventurous Valentines Day.

Our Location today is Apopka, Florida.

This morning we were both up around 7:30 hearing only the sound of traffic outside the trailer. The rain that helped put us to sleep had stopped which was not what the forecast had said would happen. Looking out the window at the puddles of water that lined the low points of the park streets and the sun was actually trying to break through the cloud covering.
After exchanging our Valentines greetings we enjoyed a nice warm breakfast that helped to warm us up from the damp weather. As we caught up on our computer reading it started to look like the sun was setting rather then trying to rise as the cloud covering took over completely.
Instead of exchanging gifts we had chosen to go out for a special lunch so we headed back down the road looking for the Olive Garden. It had been years since we had been there and we wanted something different.
Apricot Chicken at Olive Garden.
We were in for a little shock to see that they actually have added healthy meals of a sensible size and price on their menus. We enjoyed Apricot Chicken which came with a choice of soup or salad and grilled asparagus, broccoli and tomatoes lightly coated with an Apricot glaze.
As we were leaving the rain started slowly and continued until it was a steady rainfall. That cancelled anything we might do outside so we thought of a few errands we needed to run. The first was back to Walmart where Kathy looked for some Capri pants but when she tried them they wouldn’t fit just right so they were left behind. We did find the supplies we needed for tonight however.
Our new AGM batteries in the rear of our truck.
Heading back towards the trailer and being in the neighborhood we stopped at Batteries Plus to see if our AGM batteries that we ordered on Sunday had arrived yet. They had been delivered to them not even ten minutes before we arrived so they never even had a chance to call us. Now when the rain stops I’ll have another chore to do on the trailer that I’ve been planning for well over a year.
Back at the trailer Kathy and I used one of the serving trays we purchase today to plate our contribution to tonight’s little park Valentines social. We had purchase two packages of Reese’s Peanut Butter Bar mix and made them yesterday and kept them refrigerated overnight.
The rain did put a damper on the occasion as only 16 people attended but there was plenty of conversation to match the amount of sweets at the snack table. I actually had a black coffee to tone down the buzz from all that sugar.
The rain is supposed to stop sometime tomorrow so we’ll see what happens then. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
