A Day at Home.

Our Location today is Apopka, Florida.

We slept fairly well last night as the night time temperature was in the upper 40’s. We still ran the furnace but left off our heavy comforter but since tonight’s low will be a few degrees warmer we’ll try using the comforter without the heat.
At Saturdays Civil War Re-enactment many couples dressed in period clothes.
Yesterday Kathy had tried some clothes on while we were at Walmart and had to stretch her arms over her head. That seemed to have aggravated the problems in her shoulders and when she got out of bed it was like she was back to day one. With that the decision was made to stay close to home so that the pain would subside hopefully by tomorrow.
This was the Tent City where most of the Re-enactors slept for the weekend.
We manage to research a few locations together that we needed to find and were able to plan a day trip for the near future.
This rider resembled George Custer.
After lunch while Kathy did some reading I went outside to start prepping our bicycles so that we could ride some of the local paths for some exercise. Just taking them off the back of the trailer I was amazed how dirty they had gotten since last fall and the tires needed more air. After pumping all the tires and returning the pump to its place in the basement as I was lowering the cargo door I hear a loud clunk. The door wouldn’t close so when I lifted it the screws and one of the cylinders that holds the door open fell to the ground.
All these children were dressed in period clothing.
The only thing that I can figure is that the road vibration worked the screws loose but it also stripped the holes. I carry a couple of organizers that have a variety of fasteners of different sizes so I knew that I should have something to fix the problem. Wrong! Everything of the size that would have worked was too long and would have gone through the exterior of the door.
Barbecued Pork Chops, Mashed Potatoes and Corn
After measuring another job that I need to do I decided to wait until morning to head over to Home Depot for the materials that I’ll need. Besides it was time to fire up the barbecue again to do up some nice pork chops for supper and when that was done I even managed to get another RV park sunset picture.
Campground Sunset.
