Restless Change.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Even though I normally prefer working Day Shift there are advantages to Afternoons with the biggest one being you wake when you do. Almost like being Retired. On Days most times you wake to the Alarm and whether or not you slept well it is time to get up.

Last night being that neither of us were feeling that great we took a Sinus Tablet and got to bed early. We both seemed to sleep for Five Minutes before tossing and turning for another Ten before falling asleep and repeating the process. It caused us both to just walk around the living room in hopes of relaxing but it did not work. Finally we both fell into a sound sleep only to have it interrupted by the Alarm only Ten Minutes later.

Neither of us were feeling like getting up but after taking a Tylenol Sinus Tablet to ease our headaches brought on by the lack of sleep we pushed on. We had prepacked necessities we were certain we would need. The most important was our tried and true GPS that we put on the Truck Console between us. The Writing Pad had a number of routes to take to our destination. There was a little eye straining through the Rain as we made our way from the main Highway to the many secondary ones. It was actually more relaxing then having an Electronic Box screaming incorrect directions at us. We arrived only Fifteen Minutes late after a Hundred Plus Miles to this unknown to us region. Weeks ago the scenery would have been Breathe-Taking.

The biggest reason for this dramatic Change is that we are not presently Fulltiming and second if something were to happen that Kathy needed to tow the Trailer she would be more confident doing so with a smaller unit.

This unit was only a few years older then our own but younger then most we had seen lately. Dave was a True Craftsman changing things that might have caused me thought. We came to an agreement before we headed off to St. Thomas. The challenge was getting around this hilly countryside where not all the Streets go in the same direction and detours will cause Miles of extra travel.

It was easy to find the Bank but being that it was 12:00 on Halloween Day it was packed with Werewolves, Witches and Goblins not counting the customers. The young teller had to be walked through the process by an experienced Executive. We walked across to Wendy’s for a burger for lunch.

Back through the rolling countryside we had all the papers signed and were ready to head for home but there was a problem. Dave still has all his Tools in the basement so will meet us halfway on Sunday with the Trailer. Today all we had to show were pieces of paper.

Strangely my Phone would not connect so I had to wait until we got back to St. Thomas to connect. The trip and weather had been draining but when I went to say I would be late for the Afternoon Shift, without telling them where I really was, my voice sounded so Raspy with congestion I was told to just wait until tomorrow to come in. That sounded better yet.

Today’s Road-Trip was over Three Hundred Miles and it Rained Eighty Percent of the day. So now we’ll hope the rest of the week and Sunday will shine some light on our Changes.
