Two Day Catch-Up and Happy Thanksgiving.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

My apologies for not being able to write a full Blog yesterday but I was asleep before my head hit the pillow.

Saturday morning after having gone to work early every day this week it felt wonderful to sleep in. After having Egg on Toast we settled in at the Computers catching up on our Blog reading.

The Wind kept the Temperature down.

For lunch it felt wonderful to simply have a bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup rather then a Sandwich. It was also a good way to not overeat that early in the day.

I made a phone call to our Local Pharmacy. When we were Fulltiming we had our Files set up in Amherstburg which was not a big deal when I wasn’t working but now it makes it a little tricky. Talking to the Pharmacist over on Wyandotte I authorized him to move our Files to make it easier for us.

Then I went about filling our Pill Doucettes for the next Week. Normally I do Forty-Five Days worth on Medications and Vitamins but there was another reason. Kathy’s Heart Specialist changed one of her Medications a week after the others had been filled. With enough extras of the others I was able to order the next supply for next week getting rid of that week’s difference.

Sanford and his toy.

Kathy got a call from our daughter-in-law Jen asking if we would be able to come out to celebrate Connor’s Birthday with just Cake and Ice Cream. Our only problem was it had to be after 6:00. It worked for Jen.

Tyler with Nova

We were soon out the door heading to our daughter Karen’s house in Tecumseh. We were there for an early Thanksgiving Day Celebration with just the immediate family. With Kylla being away there were Karen, Greg, Tyler and Jess. Of course we can’t forget Sanford and Nova.

Karen changed up the Menu this year and it was a big hit. Even though I know I overate (See-Food Addiction) nobody was overly stuffed. She served Ham, Broccoli/Cauliflower Salad, Carrots, Mashed Potatoes and Perogie Casserole. It all tasted wonderful. Then Karen served Pie for dessert. Knowing that everyone liked both the Pies she was serving but would be too full to eat both she cut the slices in half. That allowed everyone to enjoy a slice of Peach Crumble and Key-Lime Pie without feeling stuffed. We had a short visit but were on the road by 6:00.

Our next destination was Jen’s house in Essex to help celebrate Connor’s Birthday. We called to say we were on our way so the others would not be left waiting too long. There was a delay in traffic as a Combine was being towed on the road after loosing its steering axle.

Jen’s folks Sue and Jack along with her sister Melissa and her children were all there for the occasion. The adults even had a chance to talk until 10:00. Seeing the time it didn’t take long for everyone to say their good-byes.

There was an Accident being cleaned up on our return. We had taken that intersection before and hadn’t seen the Two Piece Car sitting by the side of the road.

Driving with the window slightly down helped us get safely home. Being too tired I could barely keep my eyes open so I had to pass on the full Blog.

Kathy had a bad dream that felt so real we were both up until she calmed down.

This morning Sunday I made French Toast for our breakfast before we again headed to the Computers.

When it came to lunch we had Italian Wedding Soup along with a Fruit Cup and Cinnamon Bun for dessert. As soon as the Dishes were cleaned up we were out the door.

Fall Colours starting.

Our destination was the Trailer at Guardian Storage. I mentioned the other day how by simply touching the Plastic Wire Sheathing to the Solar Panels with the Paint Roller they actually shattered from Five Years of Sun Exposure. I was fortunate I had some in the back of the Truck. It took time to remove the damaged material before installing the new. I also deliberately coated all the Wire Sheathing with the same Sealant that I had applied to the Roof. It will protect them both from the Sun’s Rays.

I also tried to clean the spots of Sealant from the Front Nose Cap that the Wind had tried changing the colour last week. Needless to say I’ll have to try different things.

It was after 5:00 so we went to Arby’s for Roast Beef Sandwiches for our supper.

We walked in the Apartment minutes before the 6 o’clock Local News came on. According to the experts the Coronavirus Numbers are again on the rise and they are encouraging everyone to get boosted.

Here’s wishing all our Canadian readers a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving.
