Kathy Cleaning and Windy Day On The Roof.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

It felt good to sleep in this morning. Knowing we were dealing with cool temperatures and a North Wind we thought we’d let it warm up slightly before heading out.

Another thing we were not certain of was how long we’d be gone before having lunch so we had a Veggie Omelette for brunch using up the Leftover Stir-Fry. The word filling was the best way to describe it but it did what it was supposed to.

We arrived at Guardian Storage by 10:30 first stopping at our Storage Unit. Besides the Stepladder we gathered the Broom and Dustpan.

While I was busy working on top, Kathy was busy cleaning things up inside. She did not like seeing the Pink stain in the basins from when it was Winterized the year it was parked.

Wanting to get the Roof totally resealed became a challenge. After cleaning it last weekend it had to be swept of all the debris left behind by birds. Seeds, Twigs and Dried Grass when the nearest tree would have been Five Hundred Feet away. The wind was not cooperating either causing me to keep as low a profile as possible. With a clean Roof to work on the next thing I did was to apply Masking Tape to create a border for neatness.

Imagine getting a Sixty Pound Bucket of Sealer on a RV with no assistance. Thank goodness I had the Stepladder to use. Once I was ready to start I began by removing the Air Conditioner and Vent Covers. Then using a Paintbrush to do all the Edging and Bracketing as well as the Solar Panel Mounts it would take hours on my knees just to do that. By the time I started using the Paint-Roller the Wind was gusting to Thirty MPH. It was actually flinging the small droplets beyond the Masking Tape on to the upper part of the Nose Cap.

We called it a day. Kathy had over worked herself again and my knees were aching. With a few more days of Sunshine I should be able to get it completed before the wet weather returns.

After dropping the Ladder off we at the Storage Unit we went to Harvey’s where we used a Coupon to buy our supper. We actually started feeling better after eating so we probably had worn off the Omelette hours ago.

We made a quick stop at Dollarama before heading for home.

It felt good to sit in our comfortable chairs.

We heard back about Kathie. Her Surgery to repair her broken Hip went well and she could be discharged next week.

Krackers

Why did the Clydesdale give the Thoroughbred a glass of water?

He was hoarse.
