Even though Kathy was in bed before me last night she was the last one to fall to sleep. When I got up before 8:00 feeling refreshed she later woke up feeling like it was time to go back to bed. We discussed what could be the problem while having breakfast and came up with a solution Exercise and Fresh Air.

Like yesterday looking at a clear sky was deceiving but the temperature would rise a bit and we’d continue having a moderate breeze for the remainder of the day. We spent most of the morning at the Computers getting caught up on what is happening around the world.

Having devised an idea we kept to a lite lunch by simply having a bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup with a Yogurt Cup for dessert. As soon as we finished eating I made a call to be certain we could go for a visit today.

It took time to get things together but we were soon heading out. When we got to the Elevators Kathy went downstairs to return with the Freight Elevator since it is the only one that fits. When we exit downstairs and others see our Tandem Bicycle we always get compliments about it. As I set up the Mirror, Pedals and Saddle Bags I realized we forgot the Camera again. Kathy went to retrieve it.

It’s been close to a month from the last visit so today our ride had meaning to it. Wearing our Yellow Windbreakers we headed south through neighbourhoods as a way of avoiding the heavy traffic. In less then Forty Minutes we had ridden 3.5 Miles crossing Two Major Roadways and arrived at Riverside Place Care Home. Expecting to visit through the window like the last time that’s where I brought the Bike to a stop at 2:00.

My Aunt Anna.
The first time outside in months.

When Kathy could not see anyone inside I just happen to look up and see my aunt Anna outside the entrance waving. We moved over there to visit. The last time we visited our area was only in Phase 2 Coronavirus Recovery and there were a lot more restrictions for visiting. Now we are in Phase 3 Recovery we were able to visit outside wearing our Masks.

Before we realized it was nearly 3:30 and the Wind had shifted coming from the North making us all feel chilled. We gave good-bye Hugs and my aunt watch as we headed off on our Tandem Bike.

We were inside the Apartment with the Bike by 4:10. We had to take our Windbreakers off just to warm up. While Kathy used the washroom I put a Store Bought Thin Crust Pizza with Mushrooms, Pepperoni and Sausage in the oven for supper. I managed to have the Bike covered and secured to the Balcony Rail before the Timer went off.

After we ate we returned to the Computers trying to finish catching up on our reading but there was a problem. We both were having trouble with our eyes staying open so I turned on the Television. We watched the last Ten Minutes of Harry Potter before the 6 o’clock Local News came on.

We then started watching a Hallmark Movie. Kathy has been in bed sleeping soundly since 8:45. I think our solution worked. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

  4. I do not see tandem bikes often but when I do I have often wished I could ride in one.

I love when you blog about visiting your aunt Anna. Our senior citizens need our company and love now more than ever.

  5. Being in the fresh air does help the sleep. For example. on Friday was outside in the fresh air most of the day on his tractor bush hogging and moving trees he had taken down. Yesterday he slept most of the day away in his recliner.
