Morning Visit, Bike Ride and Tiring Day.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

It felt wonderful sleeping with the Bedroom Window open last night though we didn’t think it was going to last. It seemed that a few of those Pool Parties I described to you yesterday were just ending after we went to bed and participants were thanking their hosts loud enough that anyone with their windows open could hear. Finally getting back to sleep at 4:00 in the morning the Birds started welcoming the start of the new day even before signs of the morning sunrise started to show itself. Either way it was still good sleeping with the Window open.
I barely started getting things ready for breakfast when Kathy joined me. After we started having our Coffee/Tea at the Computer Kathy was in the process of dressing for the day when our daughter Karen called inviting us to come for a visit this morning. So before long we were on our way out the door.
Our Apartment is the third from the top on the left.
Our Tandem Bicycle is under the Orange Cover.
The single balcony is divided.
We visited out on the deck like the last time. That gave us the chance to Social Distance and still have a close visit with Karen. Kylla was just heading out to visit a friend while Tyler was just getting up. Greg was over helping a neighbour install a new Pool Liner. Poor Sanford has missed us so much he wouldn’t leave us alone. We finally headed off after a nearly Two Hour visit.
Is that the look of enjoying a deep tissue massage.
Since it was past 1:00 in the afternoon we were starting to get light headed from not eating so we stopped at Arby’s Drive-Thru. We got their Greek Gyros that we put in an Insulated Shopping Bag to bring back to the Apartment for lunch. When we sat down to eat they felt just as hot as when they were handed to us.
Please don't stop.
Not wanting to cancel our Bike Ride that we had planned we didn’t sit to let lunch settle. It was just after 2:00 when we got our Tandem Bicycle out of the Freight Elevator and out the rear door, By the time the Mirror was set, the Pedals flipped and the Saddle Bags secured it was nearly 2:20 before we started heading east on the Ganatchio Trail.
I had mentioned at lunch that we could have ridden our Bike to Karen’s in Tecumseh but Kathy though it was too far. By 3:00 Kathy and I were sitting in the same chairs we did this morning on Karen’s back deck. There wasn’t anyone else in sight so we just enjoyed the rest while downing a bottle of Gatorade.
Kathy with our Bike in front of Karen's house.
The breeze was bothering Kathy’s shoulders so she was wearing her Windbreaker. I’m the one who is normally cold and I was the one sweating while only wearing Shorts and a T-Shirt. By the time we made it back to the Trail in Windsor we needed to stop for more Water and an Energy Bar. It was a good thing it was only feeling like 77 F (25 C).
It was nearly 5:00 when we ended our Nine Mile ride and had our Tandem Bicycle refastened to the Balcony Rail. Once again we had worked up an appetite so we put our last Medium Sized Store Bought Thin Crust Pizza in the oven for supper.
Kathy resting. The Northeast Wind felt cool.
According to the 6 o’clock Local News there are more Caronavirus Cases in our area but they seem to be the Migrant Farm Workers coming in from Mexico. Unfortunately Two of them did not make it.
People  along the shores of Lake St. Clair.
We are certain neither of us will have a problem sleeping tonight. I’ve got a couple of appointments for tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  4. That's so cool you have trails to ride. Yeah, I'm not hot on the neighbors with their grandkids in the pool screaming all day long. I can't wait for school to start back up.
