Cooler Temperatures, Making Bacon and Seeing Things from A Different View.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

After the heat of the day cooled yesterday we were fortunate enough to shut the Air Conditioner, Besides the Apartment itself was already cooled down enough for Kathy. There is something about not listening to the hum of that machine while sleeping that felt intoxicating. Even without having a single drop we woke within minutes of one another this morning well rested but feeling like we had been drugged.
Looking outside there wasn’t a Cloud in the sky and there was hardly a breeze. Looking at The Weather Network there was a Storm Front heading in our direction that seemed to suddenly split into two missing Windsor completely. Another thing that was nice to see was a much cooler forecast for the today.
A little zoom. our Car is directly in front of our Truck.
We spent most of our morning reading on our Computers along with our normal chores. From the Comments about the Loonies and Toonies we use as Canadian Currency I happy to have made it more understandable to our foreign readers.
We tried a different Soup for lunch today. We had Beef Barley then topped it with our normal dessert plate.
With the lack of Wind and moderate temperatures I set up our Electric Grill because Propane Barbecues are not allowed by the Local Fire Marshall. I set about grilling Five Pounds of Bacon that Kathy can use in a lot of dishes she makes or simply heat whatever she wants to serve as a side. Once it is cooked it can be frozen in Storage Containers and used when needed. Since these were Thick Slices it took longer then what it normally would.
Cutting the grass Eight Floors Down.
I did have some entertainment watching people going by on the Ganatchio Trail as well as the gardeners cutting the grass around the building. It’s a different view when you are looking straight down from the Eighth Floor. There are quite a number of houses within sight of our Balcony that have Swimming Pools. Most of those were busy with guests today.
Kathy had been busy making Hard Boiled Eggs while I was outside. After a brief rest and getting things cleaned up we worked together to make a delicious Garden Salad that included chopped Eggs and Bacon that really changed the flavour. We again added a dessert plate to top it off.
More grass cutting zoomed in.
After watching the 6 o’clock Local News the grill was cooled enough to wash it along with the rest of the dishes. At 9:00 we watched a Hallmark Movie to top off our night. We are sleeping with the Bedroom Window open tonight and with cooler temperatures tomorrow we’ll be getting out. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

Words of Inspiration

How did it get so late so soon? It's night before it's afternoon. December is here before it's June. My goodness how the time has flown. How did it get so late so soon?

  1. I have completely given up on cooking bacon. I found Hormel chopped in a bag. Very lean, good flavor and NO greasy cleanup.

  3. I have an Instant Pot. I don't use it as much as I should but I sure love doing hard boiled eggs in it. Add water to the bottom, sit the eggs on the rack, close lid and push the EGG button. Within minutes perfect eggs. And so easy to peel. One of these days I will try some of the eggs one of our ducks provide.

  4. Even though it is only a picture...I got a little light-headed looking down from your eight floor balcony.

Your bacon looks delicious I need to cook ours but it will have to wait for cooler temperatures as it is hot today even with the A/C on.

  5. I like you prefer to sleep with the windows open anon AC but sometimes you just need to have it on. It usually cools down here at night but during forest fire season there is so much smoke that we need the AC on 24/7.
