Cleaning Up, Strange Calls, Leftovers Recreated and “Me Before You”.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

We slept quite comfortably with the Air Conditioner turned off last night and the apartment had gotten so cold that we didn’t even open any windows. We slept like a couple of rocks and woke feeling refreshed. I was awake by 8:00 and managed to get everything ready for breakfast besides sorting our Laundry before Kathy joined me.

Looking outside the Rain was coming down so hard it was nearly dark so we had no Sunlight to wake us. The only thing I checked on the Computer while having my morning Coffee was The Weather Network when the Wind started gusting so hard that it was driving the Rain against the Balcony Door. With it starting to warm up inside and out we had to restart the Air Conditioner as well as stripping down the bed before heading for the Laundry Room.
There was only a single Dryer running when I walked in before 10:00 so there was no problem getting our Wash started but being that it had been over Two Weeks since the last cleaning day it was close to Noon before I had gotten the last of it into the Dryers.

It was also around that time that Kathy came down to talk with me. She had just received a call from Jayco about our Trailer Repair. Due to the Coronavirus closure of their Factory and Repair Shop they are so far backed up that they want to try something else. We’ll have to think about that before we talk to them again. Knowing that I would be later then first expected Kathy brought me a lite snack to tied me over.

I was nearly finished folding the Laundry when my Cell Phone rang. It was our Family Doctor’s Office. He had ordered an MRI for Kathy and had forgot to ask me yesterday if it had gotten done. Due to the Coronavirus Shutdown it like many other medical procedures were put on hold. He’ll try to get it pushed forward for her.
It was after 2:00 by the time I got back to the Apartment with everything folded. Kathy had been busy recreating the Roast she cooked last Monday before it went bad. I had the chance to get most of the Laundry put away before she called me to have lunch at 2:30. She had cut, breaded and sauteed the Pork with a Sweet and Sour Sauce then served it on a bed of Egg Noodles. It tasted delicious
The Temp wasn't too bad because of the high Wind.
Once the rest of the Laundry was put away I had the chance to get the fresh Linens on the bed before getting caught up on the rest of my daily reading on the Computer.

We watched the 6 o’clock Local News where again they talked about the Windsor/Essex being the only Region not being allowed to start reopening. In a comment to last night’s Blog I thought someone thought I was upset with the Migrant Workers which is incorrect. I understand how important it is to their Families and the Farmers they work for that they do this work. What the problem is that they are more then Fifty Miles from Windsor and the Provincial Government is keeping us closed while lots of Small Businesses need to reopen or they will be closed forever.
We were finally starting to feel a little hungry around 7:30 so Kathy served the remainder of the Leftover Sweet and Sour Pork on Egg Noodles for supper but added a dessert plate to tide us over for the night.

We watched a movie that can only be described as a Tear-Jerker called Me Before You”. It sent a message to everyone. The AC ran perfectly all day. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. They should just give you a brand new version of your trailer for all the hassle this one has been for you.

  2. They are doing the same thing around here, some areas opening up and some staying closed. Luckily our Health Department said we could open up due to very few cases, but now the governor says we all have to wear masks again, not that anyone is listening. He just purchased millions of masks (from China) to sell to retailers. Funny that ...

Hope you're up and running soon!!
