Chores Of Our Own.

We were having breakfast before 8:00 this morning even though we really didn’t plan on going anywhere since the Sun was hidden behind a wall of Clouds. We discussed what we wanted to accomplish with our day. After having breakfast we took our Coffee/Tea to the Computers to act as a timer.
I had the chance to read and comment on a number of the Blogs we follow as well as to check The Weather Network but once my Coffee was finished I started my chores. Since this afternoon’s temperature was supposed to feel like 95 F (35 C) when the usual chores were finished I continued by stripping the Bed Sheets from the bed then moving that and the Laundry Hamper into the Living Room.
While I sorted and treated the clothes Kathy was busy making Grilled Cheese Sandwiches with Dill Pickle garnishing for lunch along with a slice of Strawberry/Rhubarb Pie for dessert. As much as I would have liked to let my lunch settle I was headed for the Laundry Room before 12:30.

Kathy had plans of her own. She wanted to transfer the Kayla Lilies that our daughter-in-law Jen and the grands gave to her on Mothers Day to a larger Flower Pot. Since we didn’t have a Plastic Tarp in the Apartment she sliced open a large plastic garbage bag to keep things clean. She also used over half the bag of Potting Soil we purchased the other day. She would later tell me even though she wore gloves it was like making Mud Pies when she was a child.

It was past 4:30 when I returned to the Apartment with all the laundry folded. When I walked into the Air Conditioned Room it felt wonderful compared to the still air of the Laundry Room. Kathy had just finished making the bed with fresh Sheets.

After sitting for a bit it was past 5:00 before we had all the Laundry put away. Neither of us were hungry at that time probably from all the water we drank today so we did more reading at the Computers. There’s one Comment that I’ll address in tomorrow’s post.

We watched the 6 o’clock Local News before having a Medium Store Bought Thin Crust Pizza for supper. Kathy’s Kayla Lillies look like they’ve perked up in their new home. Since we didn’t hear anything from the Doctor’s Office today we’ll hope call them tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
