It
felt good to be out of bed before 8:00 this morning. There was even a
light breeze drifting through the Bedroom Window. The moment I
opened the Balcony Door Kathy was jumping out of bed.
Breakfast was simply a Muffin before we took our morning
drinks to the Computers.
One
of things we’ve been looking for was to find the replacement
Folding Pedals for our Tandem Bicycle. With the use of
Google I was able to find dozens
of local Bicycle Shops but the
problem was not all of them were open. After making about a Half
Dozen Calls I finally located someone who actually carried what
we needed.
Within
minutes we were on our way out the door. As we all know time changes
everything. We ended up blocks away from the house we once owned. We
were at Soar Hobby Super Store on
Walker Road. Kathy stayed in the Car with all the
windows down in the shade of the building. Inside I was the only one
wearing a Mask. Looking around they carried everything one
could consider to be a Hobby but when I saw an RC Plane
with at least a Four Foot Wing Span hanging from the ceiling I
immediately thought of Bill Richards from the blog “On
Our Way”. It took time before the Pedals were located
in their storage building. After nearly an Hour sitting in the
Car in very Humid Temperatures Kathy was more then
happy to see me.
Our
next stop was Dollarama where we
had planned on going yesterday but were just too tired. Today we
stood outside for nearly a Half Hour so we could safely Social
Distance while shopping. Ten Minutes later we managed to
find everything we needed and were happy to let someone else take our
place inside.
It
was nearly 1:00 when we came outside. With another stop to make and
the Muffin we had for breakfast long gone we stopped at
Wendy’s where using their
Drive-Thru we were able to get a couple of Chicken Wraps,
a couple of Small Chocolate Frosties as well as a couple of
Senior’s Sodas at reasonable price. We sat in the parking lot
facing North with the windows down while we ate.
Our
next stop was Canadian Tire where
we again had to stand in line wearing Masks outside while
Social Distancing. There was easily Fifty People ahead
of us but we were inside in less then Five Minutes. As soon as
you walked in the door you were required to Sanitize your
hands. It took some time to find what we needed but then found
additional Hand Sanitizer as we approached the Cashiers.
If you walked through the Sports Section the Exercise
Equipment was almost no existent because of the Coronavirus
more people have been investing in their own Equipment.
It
was past 2:30 by the time we got back to our Apartment.
Even though we had several purchases we managed to haul it upstairs
by hand. When we opened the door it felt like being hit by the heat
of a furnace. There was no other choice but to turn on our Air
Conditioner.
That breeze was Hot. |
To
relax we got caught up on the Blog Reading we missed this
morning. For supper we continued eating more Leftovers. Kathy
used Leftover Beef Roast with Leftover Baked Beans
mixed on the Leftover Bread she toasted. I used Leftover
Pepper and Onion to add to a Ranch Salad for a side. Kathy
also served the Leftover Lemon Curd Cake with a Leftover
Croissant and Yogurt Cups for dessert.
The
6 o’clock Local News was again
preempted so we again watched the 11 o’clock
News out of London.
Why a Canadian Channel has that problem on Cable TV is
beyond belief.
The employees all wore these T-Shirts. Protect Us Both. Stay 2 Metres Apart. (6 Feet) |
