Recovery, Repacking and Rethinking Day.

Our Location today is Huntsville, Ontario, Canada.

After all the excitement and fresh air we had yesterday in Algonquin Park and the Oops that Kathy had neither of us had any problem sleeping through the night. What did surprise us when we woke up was the deluge of rain that was beating the roof of the trailer like a drum. The rain would soften but never stopped the entire morning making the decision for us that the day would be spent indoors and mostly at the computers or reading.

Kathy and I discussed her mishap she had yesterday and came to the conclusion that we’ll be shopping for a tandem bicycle. On those occasions that we travel the more difficult or lengthy trails Kathy won’t be overexerting herself and still enjoy the ride. We looked at a number of places online plus I even called the local bicycle shop that I prefer dealing with back in Windsor.

We did enjoy the picnic lunch that Kathy had made for yesterday’s outing at lunch today and it was still just as fresh. It was nearly 2:00 in the afternoon before the rain just suddenly stopped and the sun began to shine. I scrambled out the door not wanting to miss out on accomplishing the necessary chores I had earmarked for the day.

The first thing I did was open the valves to drain both our gray water tanks. While they were draining I opened the transfer valve on the auxiliary tank to fill the lower fuel tank on the truck. As all that was happening I removed the bike carrier from the back of the truck and replaced it on the rear of the trailer. I then shut the fuel transfer valve and recovered the back of the truck before going to shut the gray water valves. I no sooner got back in the trailer and the rain started again in torrents.

Kathy joined me at the computer to discuss a few possible bicycles that should suit our needs and their prices. The rain stopped just before 6:00 so I fired up the Weber to grill some pork kabobs for supper. Kathy was busy cooking up a great noodle dish and broccoli as the sides.

We finished dishes and returned to the computers making our plans for tomorrow because it’s not supposed to rain then. Hopefully!!!Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
