Productive Canada Day.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Last night we were so busy celebrating our Anniversary that we stayed up way past our normal bedtime. It’s always nice talking about everything that happened back on such a special day and there is no shortage of happy memories. That also meant that we slept in later and it was nearly 9:00 by the time we ate breakfast and got on the computers. After reading Kathy was back to researching while I made a couple of phone calls. 

Since the stain we bought for the trailer turned out to be Sedona Red instead of Gunstock I was given the company number to see how to restain it to at least make it more of a brownish color. Speaking to Dave in product assistance he only apologized for the wrong product in the can but told me what tone of stain to cover it with to accomplish what we really wanted. 

The second call was to Verizon. Just when we thought that they had straightened everything up we noticed charges being made to our account. When I called I was told that was a onetime administration fee when I suspended the account. Unfortunately I will pay this two more times before reactivating our MiFi device. 

After having lunch both Kathy and I were starting to feel the effects of Cabin Fever setting in since we have spent the last three days at home. The solution was to run a few errands and maybe do some store walking for exercise in an Air Conditioned atmosphere. Our first stop was Princess Auto but as we were turning into their parking lot we saw they were closed for the Canada Day holiday. 

Our next stop was Walmart which turned out to be the perfect place to go. With her creative thought process running Kathy started noticing things that would make perfect gifts. Again with only 177 days before Christmas we were able to scratch quite a few more Christmas Gifts off of our list. 

The last stop before going home was Home Depot where we spoke with another associate in the paint department who agreed with Dave's idea of adjusting the stain but also agreed with Nan Talley about backing out the color with mineral spirits first. She then surprised us by saying the stain company should be compensating us for their mistake and covering the cost of the new materials to fix it with as other companies do. I’ll be making another phone call tomorrow. 

Once our purchases were put away we started checking E-mails again. Since I lost my bid on E-Bay yesterday I thought that I’d look for something to replace it with. To my surprise the object that I was outbid on had been reposted which meant the winning bid could not pay for it. I’ll post my bid much more carefully this time. 

For supper the Weber did a wonderful job of grilling a couple of nice steaks for us. Kathy added sautéed Asparagus with Baked Sweat Potatoes to finish off the meal. As I’m writing this post Kathy is busy wrapping Christmas Gifts. You never know who might just drop in for a visit. We wouldn’t want them to see the unwrapped gifts as we have no place to store them but in the dining room. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
