I wish that I could use the same Title twice but that would be unfair. It was the second night in a row that I had a restful sleep, where I spent most of the night in Bed.
The first thing I did when I stepped into the Livingroom this morning was to look outside at our vehicles. Before I went to bed last night, they were very White in colour, but this morning there was only a few Flakes surrounding the Windshield on the Car.
Kathy was again smiling as she joined me, after having another good night’s sleep. We finished the last of our breakfast snacks before taking our Coffees to our Computers. Before opening the lid on my Laptop, I sent a Text to our daughter Karen, wishing her a Very Happy Birthday. Since she was already at work, it only took a few moments before she responded.
Yesterday, our high temperature never went above 16 F (-9 C) but it rose through the night and left us with 19 F (-7 C) this morning. By noon the 12 F (-11 C) temperatures, with Northwest Wind Gusts had the Windchill feeling more like -11 F (-24 C).
We headed downstairs after 12:30 and knowing what the temperature was, along with hearing the Wind, Kathy waited for me to bring the Car closer to the rear entrance. As I was walking towards the Car, it looked like a scene from an Arctic Movie as the Wind created Whiteout Conditions. Luckily, it did not stick to the Car.
We drove over to the nearby Mary Brown’s Chicken to take advantage of their Monday Special. Luckily, we were dressed for the Cold, but it was a challenge to not losing our grip on the doors from the Blowing Wind.
Since we were dressed for the weather and we were in the same parking lot, we drove across to the Dollarama. I have mentioned many times that not all their stores carry the same stock and when we went to the other Dollarama last week, they were restructuring, making it hard to get everything we wanted. Today, we got what we needed.
After dropping Kathy at the front entrance and parking the Car, I brought our Recycle Containers, down to the Bins outside. The Bins are emptied just before noon every Monday, but some IDIOT jammed them full of Boxes that had not been broken down. After lifting a single Box, I was able to add all our Recycle to those Bins.
We had dressed to stay warm today, but it had been so Cold, that after taking our Coats off in the Apartment, we started sweating from what we had on. It took nearly an Hour before we cooled down.
We were watching the “6 o’clock Local News” when Karen called to thank us for the Birthday Wish. She had to work later today, then had to put up with drivers that should not be on the road under these conditions. We’ll talk later this week.
The Weather Guesser did not have any good news about the Seasonal Conditions that we will be facing for the next couple of months.
I was trying to PRINT out a copy of Kathy’s Medication List for tomorrow, but it did not want to cooperate. Instead, when I tried setting up to write this Blog, the Printing Program wanted to do an Update. Not Tonight!
We watched a few episodes of “Forensic Files”.
We get to enjoy even Colder Conditions tomorrow.
