Even though I set the Alarm before writing the Blog last night, I was still up before it went off this morning. The fact that I barely spent any time in Bed was upsetting. Finishing my night in Bed always makes me feel more refreshed, than the time in my Recliner, but that is needed to realign my Neck and Shoulders before laying down.
We only had time to have Breakfast Juice with our morning Medications and Yogurt Cup, before getting ready to head out the door.
I have mentioned many times how Kathy has had
issues with her Right Knee. There was nothing wrong with her
Right Knee today, but she could barely walk
on her Left Knee. I offered to
take the Car in for its Oil Change by myself, but she
insisted the Pain would pass. I
could tell that she was in Pain
when she told me that she would wait for me by the rear entrance.
It was a good thing she waited because the South Wind of 38 MPH gusting to 57 MPH nearly blew me off my feet. Once I was past the corner of the building the Vortex created between our building and the next was broken.
It had rained overnight, so I was happy that we were able to drive into the Service Bay at Rose City Ford. After signing in, we headed to the Customer Lounge. With Kathy’s leg bothering her so badly, we did not walk to a nearby Coffee Shop as originally planned. After spending nearly an Hour talking with other patrons, I went to see how much longer it would be, when our Service Manager was coming to get me. It cost as much as we paid for our last Oil and Filter Change on the Truck. I think we’ll try an Oil Change Outlet next time. The good thing was that they parked the Car near the front entrance, so we did not have far to walk.
Since our breakfast snack was by then non-existent and it was past 11:00 we stopped at Arby’s the first place that we saw that we also enjoyed eating at, for an early lunch. Wanda was happy to see us and brought our tray to our table. Having food in our stomachs made us feel so much better.
Though it was still Windy, the temperature reached 57 F (14.1 C) and it felt good. Because I will be too busy to collect our Mail tomorrow, we stopped at Guardian Storage to find our Mailbox very empty. I had parked as close to the Office, but the Wind still made it difficult to open the door.
Next, we went to Health First Pharmacy to collect Kathy’s Prescription Medications that I called in yesterday. I was surprised when they said they were just working on them. Normally, they are ready within a few hours of my calling. I was also surprised when they called my name, that there was a woman sitting across from me, that was not there before. My eyes must have blinked.
After dropping Kathy at the front entrance to our building, I parked the Car as usual. Surprisingly, when I tried to walk towards the front entrance, the Wind was so strong, it was pushing me back. I was successful going to the rear entrance. It also allowed me to check how much space was in the Outside Recycle Bins. Since I may need to fill our Recycle Containers tomorrow, as soon as I got upstairs, I immediately went to empty them outside. With the Wind still blowing hard enough, that the House Keeping Staff opened the door upon my return.
We shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Veggie Pizza while watched the “6 o’clock Local News”. Today’s temperature broke a record set in 1880. Now we’ll be cooling down to Seasonal Temperatures, with varying forms of Precipitation.
We later watched a few episodes of “Law and Order, Special Victims Unit”. I never saw those episodes before.
Hopefully we won’t sleep too late tomorrow, and Kathy’s leg is doing better. She has been using my Cane to move around the Apartment this evening.
