It felt good to spend more time in Bed last night, while staying in the Recliner only long enough to let my Neck and Shoulders realign themselves.
Our Breakfast Snack was followed with intense reading on our Computers, before heading out the door. Kathy was also very antsy about getting rid of the Heart Monitor that she received on Monday. No matter how many times I told her what the Tech had said, she would deny hearing that. Don’t forget, she’s the one wearing the Hearing Aides.
It felt good walking out into the 52 F (11 C) temperatures, with Southerly Winds occasionally making it feel warmer.
Our first stop was for an early lunch at Wendy’s, where we enjoyed Chicken Nuggets and a Senior’s Soft Drink for our lunch. There were plenty of Teenagers all wearing the same High School Jerseys. As we were eating, Paulette a Regular Server at Wendy’s came up and gave us a sheet of Coupons that we can use the next time we are there. We talked about the rising prices and only being able to afford eating out so often thanks to the Coupons. Being Regular Customers has its advantages.
It is not often that we have more than one appointment, in the same Complex, on the same Day. Because of that, I parked closer to our final stop and walked around to our first. We arrived at the Windsor Pain Care Center before 12:30. Kathy kept threatening to take the Monitor off as we sat there and we did a lot of sitting. After sitting there for Two Hours and seeing others arriving after we did, being brought in within minutes, I went up to say Kathy had an appointment at the Heart Clinic and they had to get me in soon. It happened again, so this time I told the receptionist that I had told them I needed to be at the Heart Clinic by 2:30 and if the Doctor was not talking to me in the next Two Minutes, I was leaving. A Minute later I was consulting with the Doctor.
As Kathy and I walked from one end of the building
to the other, she was still anxious about getting rid of the Heart
Monitor. Here is where I have to admit that “I
Lied”. Yes I did, otherwise I could have easily spent
another Hour waiting for the Doctor to see me. I sent
Kathy to the washroom with the Zip-Lock Envelope to remove the
Monitor and seal it inside. What I lied about, was she did not
have an Appointment today. She only had to
drop off her Monitor after 2:30 this afternoon.
We finally were sitting in the Car, having a drink of Water and I looked at our Appointment Book. We were done for the rest of the week and thought the timing was perfect. I called the Car Dealer to schedule an Oil Change. With how we have felt, the weather, all our medical appointments and their shop hours, it had been impossible. We are now booked for tomorrow.
Heading towards home, Kathy mentioned feeling
hungry. I don’t know why, we only ate Four Hours ago. We
used one of those Wendy’s
Coupons to have our supper. Instead of Fries,
Kathy had Chili Cheese Nachos, while I had Chili.
Instead of having those Huge Soft
Drinks,
we had Small Chocolate Frosties. Of course, we topped it off
with Free Seniors Soft Drinks.
We stopped at the Dollarama to pick up some Breakfast Juice and Pudding Cups. Many times, when our supplies got as low as they presently are, we have trouble finding them on the store shelves. We were Lucky today.
Though we didn’t break any temperature records today, the Weather Guesser on the “6 o’clock Local News” says that there is a good chance we will tomorrow.
We later watched a joint episode of “Law and Order” to finish off our day.
