I actually managed to get a fairly decent night’s sleep, even with some moving around. After a short Nap in my Recliner, I managed to sleep in Bed until my Neck and Shoulder Pain became too much. There was no need for added medication, it was just a matter of tipping back in my Recliner and letting gravity line things back up. At that point, I fell into a very deep sleep and only woke when I heard Kathy moving around in the Bedroom. Minutes later, I could see her shadow waving at me in my chair.
It did not take long before I had put together a Breakfast Snack, with Breakfast Juice to wash down our Medications. By the time we had eaten, our Coffees were ready to bring over to the Computers. According to The Weather Network it was a balmy 3 F (-16 C) feeling like -11 F (-24 C), but on the bright side the Sun would warm things up slightly.
There was a lot of reading to catch up on, so it was closer to 1:00 when we enjoyed a Homemade Italian Salad for our lunch. That worked out perfect because once that was finished, we were heading out the door again.
Kathy does not like cold temperatures or gusty Wind, so when I asked her to wait until I brought the Car to the rear entrance, there was no argument.
Since I spent most of my life in the City, I knew which streets would be busy at that time of the day and the ones that would not. We arrived at the Windsor Heart Institute, with Fifteen Minutes to spare and were taken in Thirty Minute later. The young Intern checked Kathy’s Blood Pressure before reviewing her Medications that I had printed out, compared to what they had on file. I keep very accurate records and when she questioned one that is for controlling Prostrate problems, she quickly removed it from their list.
We had to sit for another Fifteen Minutes before another Intern reviewed the results of Blood Tests and what the Heart Monitor she recently had to wear showed.
Back in the hall, the number of patients was starting to thin out. Thirty Minutes later, the Cardiologist called us in. He was impressed with Kathy’s test results, but wants to see her again in Six Months for more tests. He was surprised when told that their records had showed that Kathy was on Medications that she wasn’t. He even cringed when he heard about Kathy’s Treadmill Injury, but encouraged her to try again.
With the forecast of Winter type weather heading our way, we made a quick stop at Guardian Storage to collect our Mail.
Noticing the lower fuel prices as we approached, we stopped at the Pioneer gas station to top off the Car with Gasoline.
At that point Kathy noted that our Breakfast Snack and lunch Salad had worn off, so we stopped at Wendy’s to have supper. Being able to adjust their Coupon Menu to suit our appetites, makes a big difference on the quality of our meals.
I dropped Kathy at the front entrance before parking the Car. I managed to get my coat off and sit down Two Minutes in my Recliner before the “6 o’clock Local News” started. Our weather forecast for the next week has not improved.
We later watched “Will Trent”, “High Potential” and “The Rookie” for entertainment.
