It was a mix of sleeping and staring at the ceiling for
no apparent reason last night. That meant that when I was awaken, it was the
perfect time to start my day at 7:00 in the morning.
It gave me time to check the weather, then all my messages
before starting to read Blogs from our sidebar. That’s when things took
a turn for the worse. As a matter of a fact, everything turned upside down. The
Toolbars that were once at the bottom of the screen were at the top. All
the Icon Shortcuts were inverted at the bottom of the screen.
When Kathy came out to join me, she had to see for
herself before believing me. While she was checking things on her Computer,
I was trying to rig a Backup Computer to write the Blog. I found Kathy’s
old Laptop that had caused her many headaches and finally started
getting things working. I was a little upset when my Handwritten Notes
with Addresses and Passwords had disappeared. Something that has
been happening a lot, the last few years. Eventually I was able to find a way
to keep track of what we were doing, but somehow, I can’t get some of my
important notes transferred.
With time slipping away, at 1:00 we headed to Wendy’s to have lunch. We were in and out in Fifteen
Minutes, which was less time than I could have made lunch.
We arrived at the Windsor
Pain Clinic with only Five Minutes to spare. Kathy sat in the
Waiting Room, while I headed to the Treatment Room. I’ve been in a pinch many
times through my life, but when they put that Automatic Blood Pressure Cuff
on my arm, I thought they were trying to break it. They denied anything was
wrong with their machine, but Kathy has one that I often use at home that never
gets that tight. Our Family Doctor uses the Manual System and it
has gotten tight a few times, but nothing like that. I finally got to meet Dr.
Nigl. He was much more thorough in asking questions of my discomfort than the Nurse
Practitioner. By the time I walked out, with over Thirty Injections
across my Shoulders and in my Neck. There was some momentary discomfort
but no Pain when I left. The Doctor also changed the Nerve
Relaxation dosage.
Not wanting to waste time tomorrow, we battled Rush Hour Traffic through the Construction Detour. Our destination was the Canadian Blood Services where they verified today’s
medication would not affect my ability to Donate
Blood.
With Rush Hour
in full swing, we took the Expressway
across the City. With only a Half
Hour before they closed, we arrived at Health
First Pharmacy to pick up my new prescription. When the Pharmacist
reviewed the dosages with me, I was surprised to hear it was double what the Doctor
had discussed with me. Since they cause me to feel Groggy I’ll do what the Doctor instructed me to take.
Rather than driving all the way back to Tecumseh Road (Fast Food Alley), we
simply stopped at Mary Brown’s for a
couple their great Chicken Sandwiches.
We arrived home just on time to watch the “6 o’clock Local News”. It’s more interesting
at 11pm.
After we watched a couple episodes of “Forensic Files” we called it a night. I’m
already feeling Groggy and it’s going to be busy tomorrow.
