After spending less than a Half Hour in my Recliner before going to Bed last night, seemed to work out for the best. Once in Bed, the next time I opened my eyes was to start my day, minutes before 8:00 this morning.
That gave me plenty of time to get things ready for breakfast, check out "The Weather Network" and pull up the Spreadsheet that would give me the information I would need to make a call. Last night I checked our Medication/Vitamin Spreadsheet to see if any Vitamins would need to picked up. before the weekend. Instead, what I found was that I had forgot to call in Kathy's Medications for refill yesterday.
Seconds after 9:00, Kathy woke to the sound of my voice talking to the Pharmacist Assistant. Though I tried pronouncing the tongue twister Medication names, I succeeded by giving the Rx Numbers. With a promise they would call when things would be ready, I figured tomorrow afternoon. We had just finished enjoying a Homemade Salad for lunch, when the call came that everything was ready. Was I ever surprised.
We waited until 4:00 to head out. The 63 F (17 C) temperature felt cool enough to wear our Jackets, especially with the Northerly breeze blowing in from the Detroit River. We were able to drive as far as necessary on Riverside Drive because the Contractors seem to call it a day and reopen the road by 4:00 every day lately.
As soon as I walked in to Health First Pharmacy, Lana immediately retrieved Kathy's Medications.
Like many, sometimes we just get tired of having to cook and it is happening more often lately. Not really sure what we wanted to eat, we headed back to Tecumseh Road East (Fast Food Alley) to weigh our options. We finally decided to go to Harvey's for our supper.
Before we could get out of the Car, our daughter Karen called to see how we were doing, while on her way home from work. When we told her where we were, she started apologizing. There was no way for her to know and we appreciate her concerns for our wellbeing.
Harvey's is a Canadian Brand that has been around for Fifty or more years. Kathy chose to have a Chicken Salad, while I had an Angus Beef Burger. They were both delicious and satisfying but like every other Fast Food Outlet around, expensive. However, if you happen to be a CAA (Canadian Automobile Association) member, it can save you around Ten Percent on the cost. Anything is better than nothing these days.
Back home, we watched a couple episodes of "Law and Order" before Kathy went to Bed, because the "11 o'clock Local News" was delayed by "Thursday Night Football".
We've more running to do tomorrow, before the masses crowd the stores on the weekend.
