After a fairly good night's sleep it was time to start the day. I managed to get ready to serve a breakfast snack before Kathy came out to join me.
Yesterday, I had set a Pill Vial aside, that I had wanted to call the Pharmacy this morning for clarification. The problem was, try as hard as I could it simply vanished from where I had placed it. It seems we have the Gremlin from the comic strip Family Circus by the name "Not Me". All I could do was to work round it and hope that I would find it before the Pharmacy closes at noon on Saturday.
Besides working on the Computer, I was making a mental note of things we'll need to pick up at the Grocery Store.
When we ate supper at Harvey's last evening, the Chicken Salad Kathy ordered was too much for her to eat, so she brought the rest home. At lunch today, there was still enough for us to share and be satisfied. Of course, we had a couple of Cookies to top it off.
The first place we stopped at was Dollarama, to pick up the Refreshments and Juices that are a fraction of the price there, instead of at the Grocery Store itself.
By the time we loaded everything into the Car, we realized our lunch had suddenly left us feeling empty, so we headed to Wendy's for an early supper. As I have said many times they give the best value for the cost, compared to all the other Fast-Food Outlets. The only reason we sometimes go to other brands, is for a change of taste.
By the time we were headed back to the Car, Rush Hour Traffic was in full swing. Luckily, we only had a couple of blocks to drive back to the Zehr's grocery store. We spent considerable time in the Produce section, before moving over to the Condoments and Dairy. This should hold us over for a week or Two. $$$.
Even though we carried a few bags by hand, our Two Wheeled Folding Shopping Cart was overfilled both times things were brought up to the Apartment.
Naturally, the Medications that "Not Me" had moved were located. I'll call the Pharmacy in the morning.
We later watched the movie "Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince", before watching the "11 o'clock Local News". Not only are our temperatures getting Colder, Damper and Unpredictable, the time between Sunrise and Sunset is now over Five Hours Shorter than this summer.
