It was no surprise that I slept quite well last night, because I made certain to take the proper medications before going to bed, by setting everything up before the lights were turned off. That also meant, that I never gave a single thought to the fact that the Alarm was set to wake me in the morning. Probably from the lack of sleep the night before, the Alarm actually did wake me, but my quick response allowed Kathy a few extra minutes of sleep.
After Morning Medications and a Juice, we were out the door close to 9:30. Even though I was comfortable going out the back entrance this morning, Kathy still found the 75 F (24 C) Hot. I recall working with people that started wearing Winter Parkas at that temperature, saying it was Cold.
Even though we arrived at Advanced Rehabilitation Center (ARC) early, I actually got out the door much later. The Physiotherapist was not happy with the movement of my Shoulder and even though I was supposed to complete my rehabilitation today, she forwarded an extension of the Therapy to my Doctor. I informed her of the upcoming Shoulder Injection, and she hopes that will help.
Since our breakfast snack was starting to feel non-existent, so we stopped at the Backroad Cafe for an 11:00 lunch. We were both feeling like we didn’t get enough sleep, so we started off with a cup of Black Coffee, before switching back to Decafinated. We also enjoyed their Friday Special of Fish and Chips.
On the phone I had tried asking a question that nobody seemed to be able to answer, so we went straight to the source. Kathy stayed in the Car with the windows all down while I went in to the Canadian Blood Services building. Since I have an appointment to donate Plasma next week, I wanted to be certain the Shoulder Injection, would not interfere with the Blood Quality. I have been rejected before, because the Duty Nurse did not understand what the Medication was, even after going through Volumes of Books. This will not affect my next donation.
We then headed to Guardian Storage to collect the only Two Pieces of Mail that awaited us. From there we headed for home.
Even though it was far from yesterday’s temperature, Kathy did not argue about being dropped off at the Front Entrance, while I parked the Car.
Inside our Air Conditioned Apartment, I made another call. This time it was to the Tecumseh Medical Center Pharmacy. When I received the call this week about the available Injection time, I was told I had to pick up the Medication there first, at 7:30 in the morning. They already had my Name and confirmed the pickup time.
Though we were comfortable inside, the warmth had taken its toll on Kathy and shed needed a few Snaps to make it through the rest of the day.
It was after 7:00 that we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Vegetarian Pizza for a late supper.
We later watched “Monk”, “Criminal Minds” and the “11 o’clock Local News”. It looks like we could be very wet tomorrow, which is perfect for me. Our Humidex only reached 102 F (39 C) this afternoon.
