Being as tired as I was from not sleeping enough on Thursday Night, there was no problem last night, where I accumulated over Seven Hours between my Recliner and Bed.
Just before we shut down for the night, Kathy mentioned it was feeling clammy inside and that I should turn on the AC for the night. It worked so well, that I was shivering by morning, even under the blankets.
After yesterday’s Snack and Brunch for a divided breakfast, we kept it simple today, by having a Banana and Yogurt Cup.
Looking out the Balcony Door this morning it was a clear blue sky, but according to “The Weather Network” it was Raining. Somebody doing those forecasts doesn’t believe that people actually look outside. One thing for certain was that it was Hot outside, because you could feel it radiating through the Balcony Door.
It was after 2:00 when we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Hawaiian Pizza for a late lunch.
As we finished eating, we saw a fog-like mist heading towards our building, but before we could get a closer look, Large Raindrops started pounding against the Balcony Door. With moderate Winds from the South, it hit quickly and was finished just as fast. There were good sized Puddles in the parking lots. The temperature had only dropped the slightest bit but the Humidex still registered at 109 F (43 C). We have a few more days like this still heading our way.
In response to Comments and E-Mails, our Canadian Health Care System is not what I recalled in my younger years. The few times that I have been hospitalized for emergency treatment would have been a disaster for me today. Years ago, if you were a Surgeon that had caused more problems than good, you would be brought before the College of Surgeons and Physicians to justify your actions. If you couldn’t, you would lose your Medical Certification. People I know told me to avoid a particular Shoulder Specialist. When I went to Physiotherapy on Friday, I noted he’s in the same Office as the Surgeon that fixed my Hip. I’m glad that I heard from those friends.
For supper we enjoyed Macaroni and Cheese along with a bowl of Cantaloupe that I cut up yesterday.
We watched a few episodes of “Forensic Files” before calling it a night.
