Last night’s sleep was a bit of an improvement, even though I knew the Alarm was set. I believe the tiredness, that had been building over the last few days, may have helped me to sleep. Also not having to rush out the door at an early hour this morning, may have also helped in the recovery.
Needing a bit of energy to tide us until lunch, we settled for a bowl of Cereal. I even had time to do my On-Line Questionnaire, before we headed out. The morning breeze was comfortable, until you stepped out into the direct Sunlight, then the feeling that your skin was being cooked through your clothes took over.
The
fact that this wasn’t Rush-Hour,
made travelling the roads trouble free. That also meant we arrived at
the Canadian
Blood Services
early enough, that they rescheduled my appointed time, to get me
through sooner. It was nice to
see more Donors
in, considering the last few visits, they
were scarce. One of the Nurses,
Angela recalled some Donors
complaining
about the Road
Construction
causing them problems. They used that as an excuse to say they would
be back, when the Construction
was gone. We were headed to the Car
by 11:30,
after I completed my 153rd
Blood Donation.
We headed over to Pita Pit, to take advantage of their $7.00 Specials for lunch. I’ve said it before, this is Healthy Fast Food. We just sat down to eat, when the place suddenly had Customers lined up, outside the door.
With the Humidex already at the Century Mark we headed for home. Before getting tied up on the Computer, I called my Sister Anna in London, to wish her a Happy Birthday. She’s also learned to stay inside during these warmer days.
It was nearly 5:00 when we realized that we had forgotten to run an errand today, so we once again headed out the door. I hadn’t gotten anything ready for supper before we left, so the first place we stopped was Wendy’s for our meal. Their Coupons really help lower our costs.
We then headed over to the Bulk Barn to get some healthy snacks at a reduced price. I was a little shocked at the cost, then found they had not given us their Wednesday Seniors Discount. That added up to nearly a Twelve Dollar Savings.
Coming out to the Car, we noted Black Clouds heading our way and a few drops of Rain on the windshield. I dropped Kathy at the front entrance to our building, before parking the Car. I had just gotten inside the Apartment, when the Rain really started coming down.
We later watched a few episodes of “Mayday” before the “11 o’clock Local News”. It looks like tomorrow will be quite wet for us before cooling down.
We’ll see what tomorrow brings.

We wait all winter for it to be warm, and then it's suddenly too hot!
