But Why? That was the question that I kept asking myself last night, when every Hour it seemed that I had to go to the bathroom. Of course, that meant I was also affecting Kathy’s sleep.
As
we sat at the table having breakfast this
morning and
talked
about it. When
I showed the Two
Vials
that had been left exactly where they
were
left last
night.
There was the answer to my problem and we both started laughing.
Following my Hip
Surgery
last August,
my legs started blowing up like balloons from water retention, and I
was issued a Diuretic
to help me out. Somehow, last night the 5mg
Pain Medication Vial
got
switched
with the Diuretic.
Steps have been taken so that won’t happen again.
Since Kathy does not text and knowing that our Beautiful Granddaughter Kylla works the Night Shift at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit as a Trauma Nurse, the first thing I did when I got to the Computer this morning, was to text a Birthday Greeting to her.
Since breakfast was lite, we shared a Bacon/Veggie Omelette for lunch.
With our Passports needing to be renewed, I had done research on where to pick up the forms. Without having to go to a Service Canada Office, I found we could get them at any Canada Post Office. I also double checked our Medication Spreadsheet to see that I needed to pick up additional Vitamin E Gel-Caps for this weekend.
As soon as we walked out the rear entrance to our building, Kathy thought she was going to melt. The Humidex was 115 F (46 C) at the time.
We went to the nearby Shoppers Drug Mart where we got the needed vitamins, before walking to the other side of the building. It seems that there is a Canada Post Office location in every Shoppers Drug Mart, and we were able to get our Passport Renewal Forms.
Rush-Hour was in full swing, and since I feel my meals are getting repetitive, we went to Burger King and took advantage of their $2.99 Chicken Nugget deals for supper along with Peach/Mango Lemonade and Peach Pie for dessert. It was tasty and not over filling. Sitting inside their cool dining room Kathy didn’t want to go back outside but had no choice.
When I suggested dropping Kathy at the front entrance to our building, she didn’t argue. Luckily, we had left our Air Conditioner running while we were out, so it was comfortable when we walked in the Apartment.
Later we watched “Law and Order”, “Criminal Minds” and the “11 o’clock Local News”. According to the Weather Guesser, we broke a Heat Record set back in 1945.
I hope to sleep tonight, because I had to set the Alarm.
