Figuring, Errands, Bad News and Trick or Treat.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

This morning, I noted something from my past that seemed to prove correct. Before I Retired the first time after 36 Years from a job I often only survived on Five Hours or less of sleep a day for months on end. Since that time, I keep being told that I need to have more sleep, to help my body recover. When I wasn’t sick that statement made no sense to me. I often got up earlier than Kathy and started exercising in our Home/Apartment Gyms. When we Fulltimed, there was a Gym at the RV Park we stayed at and in all those times I didn’t have any problems falling to sleep. When I first started going to Planet Fitness, most times I was there before 7:00 in the morning. When I went to bed late last night, I only rolled over once and was wide awake early this morning. The end result was I woke feeling refreshed and wide awake. My Body needs to get back to its old sleeping routines.

After a lite breakfast we took our hot Tea to the Computers to start our day. As forecasted last night, The Weather Network and Radar today also showed we’d be having a wet afternoon. That put our Plans to finish our shopping in jeopardy. We quickly got ourselves dressed and out the door.

I needed to pick up some Vitamin Supplements for when I do our Doucettes in a couple of weeks and I needed to check prices. I recently found the Jamieson brand Vitamins that are produced here in Windsor, at lower prices on Amazon, than I pay at Shoppers Drug Mart. I made that our first stop at the Tecumseh Mall today and had my Planner where I had written which supplements we used and started writing down their prices. With a lot of these “On Sale”, I wrote both the sale prices and the regular prices. I’ll be comparing them with Amazon but got what I could of what we needed today, at Seniors Discount Day Prices.

When we upgraded our Phones with Freedom Mobile a couple of weeks ago, they told me we were all set and just go home and play with it. Neither of us have had Data before, so no matter what we did, we could not do anything with it but talk on them. We explained that to John this morning and he spent some time explaining how to use it. Now we get to do more practicing.

It was nearly noon, so we slipped over to Wendy’s for lunch. We walked in to find nobody needing to order ahead of us. By the time we sat down there was a flow of people coming in to eat and a line of traffic filling the Drive-Thru. When we left the tables were full and there were Twelve People waiting to order.

Since the first Shoppers Drug Mart didn’t have all the Supplements we needed, we stopped at the location closer to home. They had what we needed “On Sale”.

Yesterday, when we when to Dollarama, they didn’t have the Fruit Juice that we like for breakfast, so we headed to a closer location today. Not only did they have that, but Kathy noticed their supply of the Brisk Iced Tea and Lemonade was full up, so we added more to our cart.

When we got back to our building, we again needed to use our Folding Two Wheeled Shopping Cart to bring things upstairs. The Clouds filled the sky, and the Winds were gusting to 42 MPH. It felt good to be inside again.

We got everything put away and had just sat down when my phone went off. It was my roommate Richard from when I had my Hip Surgery. Though he is also doing much better with his Hip Replacement, he is facing another challenge. He is headed to London tomorrow for Open Heart Surgery. The Aides he has at home from his Hip Surgery, will have to be put away, because he won’t be able to use his arms to help him stand up. We’ll be keeping him in our prayers.

We watched the little Trick or Treaters in the adjoining neighbourhoods, through our Balcony Door, while it was still daylight with their parents leading them up to the houses. Those brought back many memories.

The 6 o’clock Local News Weather Guesser reiterated the wet forecast for this evening. When we closed the Blinds after 9:00 the outside pavement was still dry.

Why did Humpty Dumpty have a great fall?

To make up for his miserable summer.
