Busy Running Around.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Though I had trouble sleeping again last night, there was little time to think about it this morning. After a lite breakfast we only had time to check the Weather Report, get dressed and head out the door.

As many Canadian Snowbirds will verify our Old Age and Canada Pension Plan that we paid into during our working careers gets deposited into our bank accounts just before the end of the month. What we have to make it go where we need it the most. Our first stop was to Motor City Community Credit Union, where we paid on our Cards. Next, we headed over to the Bank to help build that account. As I’ve mentioned before, we were advised to never to keep all our eggs in a single basket, so we don’t.

With that accomplished, we stopped at Wendy’s to take advantage of their $4.00 Hamburger Deal. Along with the Free Seniors Soft Drinks just over $9.00 with Sales Tax.

We had more to accomplish so we headed off to Guardian Storage to collect our Mail. One piece of mail was the sales booklet from Princess Auto, for the Sale that starts next week. Lately I have been getting them after the first week is over and have missed out on some of the bargains because of the limited quantities.

Having gotten the Truck repaired last week, we stopped at Windsor Gas and Diesel to settle the bill. Jim lost his father last week, so he just said he’d figure it out this week. Today I found him with the Differential on an Eight Ton Roll-Off torn apart. He recently lost one of his Mechanics to Retirement, so things are piling up. I’ll double check Friday if he has it ready.

We stopped at a nearby Tim Horton’s for a Coffee and so Kathy could use the restroom. Someone had Vandalized both the Men’s and Women’s Restrooms making them unavailable.

Our morning refreshments along with lunch’s drink was adding to her discomfort so we went to an extreme. We were in our old neighbourhood. No, we didn’t go knock on the door. A block away was The Home Depot that we patronized often. Today they paid us back by giving Kathy comfort.

Time was flying by, so we headed up the road to Fantastic Sam’s. We were a Half Hour early so we waited until Julia arrived for her shift. It didn’t take long before we both felt much lighter and cooler.

Since we haven’t been in some time, we stopped at Pita-Pit to enjoy a Healthy Fast-Food experience. Even though the Wraps I make are tasty, these are better. Of course they are loaded with Chicken, Bacon and a lot of Vegetables and Cheese.

We stopped at Dollarama to restock are nearly depleted supply of Brisk Iced Tea and Lemonade, before going to the Zehr’s grocery store. That turned into a challenge as the parking lot is partially blocked off while it is being repaved. We were there replenishing our Produce, Meats, Dairy and Frozen Foods.

Getting home in the middle of Rush-Hour was simple enough by cutting through the Walmart parking lot. We definitely needed our Two Wheeled Folding Shopping Cart to get everything up to our Apartment. The first thing I did once inside was turn on the Television just as the 6 o’clock Local News was starting. The Weather Guesser again said that our 75 F (24 C) temperature had broken another longtime record for this date. We can expect a Wet Thursday.
