First, I’d like to Thank those concerned about my near Heat-Stroke yesterday. Even after continued Hydration, once I was home, the effects were still being felt this morning.

After getting the Plasma Transfer Arc set to operate, I once again started warming the Feedscrew that I was about to weld, with the Burners. There was still some warmth left, so it took less than an Hour to get it up to heat. With the Heater on the Bin cranked and fresh Hard-Surfacing Powder inside the only thing left was to hit the “Begin to Weld” button.

The moment that happened the Torch plunged itself directly into the weld. More cleaning and resetting were done only to have the Pilot Arc on the Torch refusing to ignite. For the next Half Hour I tried everything imaginable including completely restarting the system. After explaining everything I had tried, Mile did not hesitate to call the Electrician.

Richard arrived in Twenty Minutes and we worked together trying to find the cause of the problem. We disconnected Cables and Hoses that have not been touched since the PTA was installed.

It was while we were unwrapping one such bundle that we came across Two Hoses that were damaged from Heat Exposure. They transferred Argon to the Torch and that is needed to carry the Arc as well as serving as a Shield. (Argon is a great conductor of Electricity.) We had worked non-stop, without any breaks for Five Hours.

When Mile asked what we needed, I said “A Horseshoe”. It only took a second for him to reply, “I need Two”.

We had Rain showers throughout the day that had cooled things down, but due to the tension of getting the Machine working and the lack of eating I had a bad Headache, so left early.

I topped off the Truck with Diesel before reaching home. I also fell into a deep sleep the moment I sat in my Recliner.

Kathy served a Caesar Salad, along with the Sweet and Sour Chicken on Vegetable Rice for supper, then topped it off with Mixed Berries for dessert.

The 6 o’clock Local News showed that our temperatures will be heading to Fall-Like numbers.

Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment, unless it personally attacks someone for their opinion, or is Spam.
