After taking an Extra Strength Tylenol to ease the pain in her Hand Kathy had no problem sleeping last night. I had no problem falling asleep and only woke twice to see Kathy sleeping but I expected to wake around the same time I’ve been during the week. Having planned to make use of those early waking hours I was surprised when the clock showed it was 8:00 in the morning.

I barely had time to get things ready for breakfast when Kathy joined me downstairs. As soon as we had eaten and Kathy was sitting at her Computer trying to learn how to do things with her Left Hand. I started doing my inside chores like making the Bed and bringing the Laundry Hamper to the living area before it was Kathy’s turn to get dressed. There were a few things she needed my help with but otherwise she did it all by herself.
It was after 10:30 by the time I was putting our clothes into the Washers. There was hardly anyone at the Park Laundry Room. Once I had everything in the Dryers a few more people started coming in to do their wash.
It was nearly 12:00 when I walked back Home. While I warmed up some Italian Wedding Soup Kathy put together a small dessert plate of Nanaimo Bars and Peaches. It was a well balanced meal of good and sinful foods.

Back at the Laundry Room I had just managed to get our Bed Linens folded when the place filled with people thinking they should do their Laundry. I was lucky to have gotten there early.

After getting back Home and putting most of the Laundry away because Kathy said she could do her own clothes I finally sat at my Computer for a few minutes.
That is an actual Zucchini that Kevin is holding.
With Shopping Lists in hand we were soon on our way to Amherstburg but the first stop was at our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa’s house. Since my Large Toolbox is stored in their garage I needed to stop for a single tool. Melissa was upset because she hadn’t gotten all the groceries put away yet but we were there unannounced to make a quick stop and see them. While I found my String-Line Kevin showed me a Zucchini that his neighbour’s father had given him. It was easily over Four Feet Long.
Our next stop was at the Shoppers Drug Mart to pick up some Band-Aids for Kathy’s Hand. With so many different kinds and brands to choose from we decided to ask one of the Pharmacists for advice. As soon as she saw Kathy’s Bandaged Hand she started to tremble. I think she thought Kathy was going to show her the wound and she was scared of Blood.
We finally had what we needed and headed over to the No-Frills grocery store. We took our time and made certain to get everything on the list. It was kind of comical because Kathy was having a hard time reading what she had written with her Left-Hand considering she is Right-Handed.
Back Home once everything was put away Kathy mixed up a Strawberry Salad while I grilled a couple of Hotdogs for our supper.

We then decided to watch the movie “Wind River” starring Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen. This movie was based on an actual case that took place on Wyoming’s Wind River Native American Reserve. It showed the harsh conditions that most must endure to survive there. We gave it a Ten.

We would like to Thank all those wishing Kathy a speedy recovery after her Hand Surgery.

A little note. My mother had me helping to do dishes by the time I started school and I have continued doing them to this date whenever I can. Now if we can just get Kathy to stop doing things she should not be doing with her Hand at this time. She’s very stubborn and so am I.

Ask A Silly Question:

Isn't having a smoking section in a restaurant like having a peeing section in a swimming pool?

  1. Wow, that is a huge zucchini!

Rick, you are such a good husband always helping out even now that you have a fulltime job...clearly, the mold was broken when they made you. Kudos to your mom for the way she raised you!

Kathy, please take it easy so you can heal soon, my best to you.

  3. That's a five-mealer for me. What a cool zucchini. It must be a record of some kind. I've had the same problem writing left handed. Sometimes I try it just for kicks. Sounds like Kathy's hand is going good.

  4. I have no problem writing or doing anything with my left hand. Now, the right hand, this is a different story.

Take it easy Kathy. Let your man do all he can to help. He wants to.

  5. I know those giant zuccini as gagutza. Nonno used to support them in eaves troughs on the side of his shed.
