This
was another High Humidex Day so I wasn’t surprised that my
Coveralls were again sopping wet by 8:00 this morning. Later I
would take a walk over to where the other welders are located to find
a Twenty Degree difference in the temperature. Laser
Cutters generate a lot of heat which might be good during the
Winter but not now.
Kathy
had an appointment with her Arthritis
Specialist and had no problem what so ever finding his
office. While there she was talking with a gentleman who claimed that
he and his wife had a Motorhome but were holding off on
travelling at this time. Kathy started telling him all about going to
Quartzsite and how we were “Off
the Grid” in the desert. They talked for nearly a Half Hour
all the while talking about RVing.
Gerry
our Supervisor left for a doctor’s appointment around 11:00
and never came back the rest of the day. The Owner came out on
the shop floor and was happy with the job I was working on. Then he
was in a hurry to get the Mechanical Frame that’s been
finished for days now into the Paint Shop.
It
felt good to be heading Home at
the end of the shift hitting all the Traffic Lights Green was
a bonus. Kathy and I talked for a few minutes before I took my
shower. Even though I shower daily during the week the Salt from
the Perspiration seems to dry the skin so much that it
constantly itches.
For
supper Kathy had already taken out a Store Bought Hawaiian Pizza
from the Freezer. It was cooked perfectly in Twenty
Minutes on our Weber Q. While it was cooking I checked The
Weather Network and found out exactly how warm it was.
Checking ahead it looks like we will finally start getting more
Seasonal Temperatures starting tomorrow.
We
cleaned up the dishes together before heading out the door around
5:30. Our destination was to visit with our son Kevin and
daughter-in-law Melissa at their home in Amherstburg.
We never run out of things we can talk about with these Two.
We can be in a serious discussion in one moment and laughing about
something else the next.
It
was just after 8:00 when we decided to leave and Melissa teasingly
said we could go to McDonald’s
for an Ice
Cream Cone.
Kathy thought
that was a great idea since they are still at the summer price of a
Dollar
each. Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be
Safe and Enjoy!
It’s
about time.
