It’s
truly getting catchy. Kathy woke up before the alarm this morning and
actually was out of bed before me. I told her that it would be easy
and she was just amazed that
she did it. We were out
the door by 8:00 after having toast and some of our Coffees
before leaving.
Our
destination
the North
Walkerville Medical Center
where Kathy had a 9:00
appointment to see a Plastic
Surgeon who
specializes in Hands.
Yes Specializes in Hands.
Our Family Doctor
had called the condition Trigger
Finger and had warned
Kathy
of what might be the outcome. Kathy had also done some research
On-Line
where it gave Two
Methods of Treatment
either an Injection
or Surgery.
If
you had Two
out of Three Symptoms
you were a candidate
for Surgery.
Kathy had all Three and
is now scheduled for Surgery
to relieve the
problem.
Not that this guy is busy
either his Receptionist
said they only had 120
Consultations today
compared to other days.
From
there we ran some errands with the first being to
our Climate
Controlled Storage Unit
at Guardian
Storage where
we added the Wall
Hanging Artwork we
purchased at the Compound
of the Ricardo Breceda who
was the artist that created all the Metal
Art in the desert
surrounding Borrego
Springs California.
We are keeping it for something special and having it the Trailer
could be disastrous.
Being
that it was before 10:00 it was no use checking our Mail.
Instead we headed over to the Real
Canadian Superstore
to get Groceries
we had listed on our Shopping
List. Walking around
the Produce
section was cool but
when we walked through the Dairy
and Meat
section Kathy was shaking from being so cold. She practically ran
through the Frozen Food
Section without
stopping. It felt
wonderful to go outside
just to warm up a little.
One
thing Kathy really enjoys is Ice
Cream and since our
Freezer
isn’t big enough to keep that and other Foods
in we indulge ourselves when we are out. So at 10:50 in the morning
we stopped at McDonald’s
to take advantage of their $1.00
Ice Cream Cones for
the summer. It helped cool us down inside not out.
When
we got Home
the first thing we did was to put all our groceries away except One
Thing. Kathy had
picked up a Single
Serving of Spare Ribs
from the Deli Section
that we shared for the rest of our lunch.
We
then had On-Line
Banking to do as well
as corresponding with the Customer
Service Department at
Jayco.
Still trying to get things straightened around. Then we got a call
from Leisure
Trailer telling
us what is and isn’t covered under warranty.
We
finally had the chance to get caught up on our morning reading around
3:00 this afternoon. Concerning questions in the Comment
Section of our Blog.
Last Year I only washed our Trailer
and with everything else like
helping our friend Kathie, our Cataract
Surgeries and all the
High Humidex Days
I did not get the chance to wax it. That was a first. I have
always waxed all our previous trailers and will continue doing it to
this one in the future. The only spot on the Trailer
that I did not apply Wax
to was under the Front
Overhang. Because the
Trailer was
so dry everything looked
dull when I applied the
Wax.
It was at that point our
friend Larry gave me the Coconut
Oil to try. I applied
it on top of the Wax
where it evened out the thick and thin spots. It took the swirls left
by the paste and made it
very consistent. What I did notice was the spots
where the Sun
dried the Oil
giving it a dusty appearance. A quick swipe of the Microfiber
Clothe gave it a just
buffed look. I’ll probably wash and Oil
the trailer before we
hit the road again and Wax
it again next year.
For
supper we grilled a Store
Bought Thin Crust Pizza
that was more then enough to satisfy the both of us.
After
eating we had
just started watching a movie when there was a knock on the door. It
was Corey our former neighbour from Third
Street. I had
invited him to check out how our Trailer
had turned out. His trailer is looking very dull and he wants to
shine it up but so far nothing had worked. After looking how our
Trailer
turned out he’ll be trying it on his Travel-Trailer.
The
movie was called “The Fault In Our Stars” starring
Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort. If you’ve ever said to yourself
“Why Me?” then this is one you have to watch. It’s about
children and young adults that grow up with Cancer. It was a
Romance that was both Funny, and Heartbreaking.
The message it gives is of Hope and Kindness. We both
gave it a Ten but when Kathy stopped crying she gave it a
Hundred out of Ten.
It
was warm today but the Furnace is coming back our way. Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be
Safe and Enjoy!
It’s
about time.

it were not for hope, the heart would break.
Wow, that is a LOT of appointments for a doctor in ONE day. Glad Kathy was able to see him early this morning.
ReplyDeleteI too enjoy ice cream but after all the viral videos of crazy people licking ice cream and then putting them back...I do not plan only purchasing one anytime soon.
Hope Kathy gets the relief of the pain in her hands. Nothing but busy days for you two.
ReplyDeleteDid you say Kathy likes ice cream? Uhmmmmm my all time favorite food! I hope the surgery goes well. I've heard of great results!
ReplyDeleteLoved that movie AND the book. I, too, recommend it with a box of tissues. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the detailed explanation of oil/was job. I can't believe that Kathy already has a date for surgery. That is truly amazing.
