I
must have been thinking that today was Thursday as I slept through
the night because I was wide awake before 6:00 this morning. It took
some tossing to get myself back to sleep until just before 7:00. The
only thing I could do was get things ready for Breakfast, open
the Window Shades and start my morning reading on the
Computer.
It
seems every morning I barely get to checking the Forecast on
The Weather Network when Kathy
wakes up. She says she senses my absence in bed and wakes up but even
more so since the pressure was raised on her CPAP Machine at
the Sleep Disorder Clinic.
We
really enjoyed our Toast with Rhubarb sauce this
morning. It amazes us how many people don’t like it but knowing how
to make it yourself has the benefit that you can adjust just how
bitter you make it. We both grew up as children eating Rhubarb and
continue to enjoy it today.
I
had just finished with my inside chores when the phone rang. Since
Kathy hadn’t put her Hearing Aids in yet she had to tell the
person to wait while I got the phone. It was our Family
Doctor’s Office calling to see if we could come in an
hour early today. No problem.
Even
though it was too early for the appointment we were out the door
shortly after 11:00 with a list of places that we had to go in
Windsor. Just to ease Kathy’s
worries I showed her where I’ll be going tomorrow for what we’ve
been looking for. She was surprise how close it actually is to our
location.
Since
the Construction on Huron Church Road
is now finished we were able go to the west end Wendy’s
for lunch without any problems. We ordered off the Value
Menu each having our Chicken Wraps, Small Chocolate
Frosties and Senior’s Soft Drinks for the total cost of
$7.19.
After
eating we drove around the block to our Family
Doctor’s Office. We walked in with Ten Minutes to
spare but were brought right in. Because Kathy’s former Doctor
was not doing what she should have to keep Kathy healthy she
changed to my Doctor. When her former Doctor refused to
send over her files my Doctor simply started sending Kathy for
Tests and to see Specialists. He reviewed the reports
that the Specialists had already sent him and when Kathy
mentioned the continued problem with Sinus Infections after a
brief examination he will now refer her to an Ear, Nose and Throat
Specialist. At first Kathy didn’t want to see all these Doctors
but since her health is important and she won’t be seeing them all
the time she can accept it.
With
additional appointments made we had to stop by Fantastic
Sam’s on Howard and
change our Haircut Appointments with Jenna.
Since she was in the middle of a Wash and Rinse I had
to wait a few minutes but as soon as that was done she happily
changed the date and time of our appointment.
We
needed to stop at Tim Hortons to
have a Coffee and a Pit Stop. Kathy had her purse with
her Sun Glasses on top sitting on the floor with her. While
she was taking care of business a hand reached under the partition
and took her Sun Glasses before she could react. With nobody
else in the washroom she couldn’t do much about it.
We
stopped at Guardian Storage to
check our Mail before going to the Motor
City Community Credit Union. Every once in a while Kathy’s
On-Line Banking locks her out and
we have to get it reset. Ashley wasn’t in today but Cara helped us
out.
Though
we hadn’t planned on it we ended up at Walmart to find Kathy
new Sunglasses. It was difficult to find Sunglasses
with Polarized Lenses. Most advertise “Blocks 100% UV
Rays”. As a professional Welder you learn that a simple
Glass or Plastic Lens coloured or clear will block UV
Rays that can harm your eyes. What those lenses will not do is to
block Glare. Only Polarized Lenses will do that as well
as taking the strain out of your eyes caused by the Sun.
We
then stopped at Princess Auto where
I had to pick up a special Lens that it seems no other store
carries. When we came outside this Jeep was parked near us and
Kathy remembered our Jeep Tours we took around Sedona,
Arizona. It sure wasn’t set up to just drive around
town.
We
made a quick stop at Home so that
Kathy could Face Book our granddaughter Kylla to wish her a
Happy Birthday.
We
then headed to Soup R Salad in
Amherstburg where we enjoyed
their Homemade Chicken and Rice Soup along with their Greek
Chicken Wrap. Along with a couple of Diet Sodas it cost
more then lunch but a fraction of what McDonald’s
would have cost.
Kathy
needed a Clear Cover to protect Doctors Forms against the
weather and to keep them together so a quick stop at Dollarama
found exactly what we were looking for.
We
arrived at our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa’s house
shortly before 6:00 for our weekly visit. We sat outside on their
screened-in Deck where the gentle breeze kept us comfortable.
We had plenty to talk and laugh about and didn’t realize the time
until we had to go.
Kathy
was taking Sunset
Pictures
while I was driving Home.
We’ll let you know how tomorrow goes. Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be
Safe and Enjoy!

Looks like you two had another very busy day.
ReplyDeleteOh that's so irritating to have someone take your sunglasses. It's happened to me several times at restaurants. Nice Jeep by the way!!
ReplyDeleteHow nervy of someone to steal her sunglasses from under the stall!! Guess you can be glad they didn't steal her purse too! Wow! More running around, but guess it's gotta be done.
ReplyDeleteHow irritating to have a doctor refuse to send your records to a new physician, I had never heard of that before. At least the new doctor found a way around that.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear that there are low life's that would actually steal your sunglasses while you are in the facilities.
I can't believe that someone would reach under the stall to get the sunglasses. I wonder if they were trying to get the purse. At least you had a lovely end to yet another long day.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly are busy people!
