After
a restful night’s sleep I was once again downstairs getting things
ready for breakfast before 7:30 this morning. Kathy was up shortly
after 8:00 which is quite different from just a few weeks ago. Since
the staff at the Windsor Sleep Disorder
Clinic adjusted her
CPAP to a higher setting she is waking up feeling much more
refreshed.
With
not too much planned for today we enjoyed our Hot Drinks at
the Computers catching up on Blogs and News. The
last few days just seemed to be overwhelming so this was relaxing.
After finishing my normal inside chores I packed up the trash before
walking it down to the Park Trash and
Recycle Area. By doing that also put me very close to the
Park Exercise Room where I spent
the next Half Hour working the kinks out of my body.
Once
I got Home I actually pulled the
Propane Tanks completely out of their compartment to be
certain we have enough Propane. When parked we set our Fridge
on Automatic so if the power goes out it will simply switch
over to Propane but the last number of times when we lost
power it would show the message NO FL and did not switch over.
The Tanks are a Third Full and Full so it
looks like the Automatic Switch in the Fridge is not
doing what it is supposed to. I’ll research to see if I can fix it
or have it serviced before we leave in the Fall.
Inside
Kathy had been busy reading one of her books while I had been gone.
We worked together making our lunch. While I heated up some Split
Pea Soup Kathy was busy making us each a dessert plate of
Cookies, Apple Slices and Yogurt. It was
refreshing and not overfilling.
When
we got rid of our house years ago our son Kevin agreed to let me
store my tools in his garage. Today I needed to pick up a few of
those that I’ll return at a later date. We headed out to
Amherstburg around 1:30. Even
with the sky being filled with Clouds the Humidex
was in the lower Nineties.
Kathy
visited with Melissa while Kevin and I talked about his Street Rod
while I got the few tools that I needed. We also talked about the
Celebration of Life that we all plan to attend tomorrow for a
Cousin of Kevin’s that just recently passed. We were not
exactly certain where the restaurant was located so Melissa gave us
directions so it making it easy to find.
When
we left we stopped at McDonald’s where we both used the
washrooms to clean up before supporting National Ice Cream Day
by each getting one of their Dollar Ice Cream Cones.
Where we'll be Monday. |
Instead
of heading straight Home we
followed the directions that Melissa had given us and actually found
the restaurant that we’ll be going to tomorrow.
Back
Home while Kathy made a tasty
Kale Salad I was grilling some White Fish Fillets and a
Zucchini. It all tasted delicious and was quite satisfying.
Somehow D.J. just doesn't look 41 years old. |
After
we cleaned up the dishes we were soon heading out the door again. Our
destination was our daughter Rose’s house in Windsor.
She was “On Leave” this weekend so we could celebrate our
grandson D.J.’s Birthday. He liked the gifts we gave him but
made us chuckle.Like many of us as children we wanted to be older
then we were at the time. Well D.J. felt exactly the same way when he
wanted to reverse the order of the numbers on his Cake. Wait
until he gets our age and he’ll wish he was a teenager again.
On
the way Home we stopped at the
Pioneer gas station to top off the Car. The price
of Gasoline was Ten Cents a Liter cheaper then
the last time we filled up.
The
temperature will be closer to seasonal for the next few days so we’ll
try to take advantage of that.
Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be
Safe and Enjoy!
It’s
about time.
