It seems that after all the scrubbing I’ve been doing on our Trailer has been taking a bit of a toll on my Shoulder but there was nothing I could do or take for it. Kathy spent another hour in her recliner last night before being able to sleep in our bed. All that restlessness through the night could only add up to our sleeping later on a morning that we really couldn’t afford to.

As soon as I got up I turned on my Laptop before starting to get breakfast ready. It was not my usual quiet way of doing so and it served as the perfect wake up call for Kathy.

When she finally fell back to sleep she was just starting to be able to breathe through her nose. By the time we finished our Rhubarb Sauce on Toast it was time for the Antibiotics and Spray to help her along. Since she didn’t take the Reflux Medication yesterday things should start doing what they were supposed to today.

While she checked her E-mail and enjoyed her Tea I made the bed and got dressed. She then headed upstairs to get ready for our day when I came down. As soon as I checked The Weather Network the next thing I did was check my E-mail. The One in particular was a Questionnaire from the Canadian Blood Services. Instead of waiting until arriving at the Clinic today by doing this in the privacy of our Home I could print out a Form that would save me a lot of time. The Form was printed around the same time I finished drinking my Coffee.
I got a quick Phone Call from Stephanie at Leisure Trailer. She was corresponding with Jayco about our Trailer repairs that they didn’t do properly. They want to schedule it’s return but Stephanie figured it would be easier if I worked out a date with them instead. She was about to send me the information via E-mail. As soon as Kathy came downstairs we headed out the door.
Our first destination was the Arthritis Clinic in Windsor to see the Specialist that is trying to improve Kathy’s comfort. We arrived ten minutes early but it seemed that he was also running behind schedule. It’s sad when you see younger people in worse shape then we are. One of our own grandsons has Juvenal Arthritis in his legs which is not good for someone who likes to play soccer. After learning that Kathy is presently dealing with a Sinus Infection he ordered more Blood Test for after she is finished with the Antibiotics.
Since we had other places to go we headed to the east end of the city where our next stop was the Motor City Community Credit Union. We have an upcoming Birthday as well as the need for Laundry Money.
From there we headed over to Wendy’s where we had lunch from their Value Menu. We each had a Chicken Wrap, a Small Chocolate Frosty and a Senior’s Soft Drink for a total of $7.19. We were satisfied but not stuffed.
We drove over to the Canadian Tire Store where I planned to get additional 6 Inch Buffing Pads for our Polisher. We were surprised that they no longer carry this smaller unit since this is where we bought it. They did try to encourage us to buy a larger more expensive unit but we passed on that. We did buy some Scotties Kleenex Tissue as Kathy’s Sinuses were draining much quicker then she expected. The one advantage was that she could finally breathe unrestricted through her nose.
We drove over to Princess Auto. This would be similar to Harbor Freight in the US. They had exactly what we needed for the Buffing Pads. We also did a quick walk through the Surplus Area where they had the Cargo Nets that we use to secure our Barrels and Bicycle for 30% of their regular cost. Even our Bank Account walked out happy.
From there we went to Green Shield to drop off the Claim Form that Mary from Healthy Heals gave to Kathy. We pay up front but generally are reimbursed within the week.
From there we went to Guardian Storage to gather our Mail and to drop off some things in our Climate Controlled Storage Unit.
It was still early so we stopped at Tim Horton’s where we had Mixed Fruit Smoothies. It was amazing how many people came in after us. There was one guy who wanted Two and a Half Sugars in his coffee. Not Two, not Three but Two and a Half. Yeah Right!
It was after 2:00 so we headed over to the old Red Cross building. While Kathy sat in the Waiting Room I headed to the other side of the building to VitalAire. It was Eight Weeks ago that we were told our CPAP Supplies were on Back Order. Taryn was off today but Amy checked the supplies in the back room that had just arrived today. Guess what she found.
I had time to put our supplies in the Car and just sit down when the Canadian Blood Services clinic opened. With the printout from this morning I was finished making my 117th Blood Donation before my appointed time. After having an Orange Juice we were on our way again.
We stopped at the Pioneer gas station to top up the Car. The cost has risen by Ten Cents per Litre of Gas but the Diesel has remained the same.
It was after 4:00 so we sopped at the Walker Road Hi-Ho (Michigan Diner) to have our supper. We ordered off Halibut Fish and Onion Rings off the Senior’s Menu. The Dinner Buns were so fresh out of the oven that we could not handle them for a few minutes.
We didn’t have to worry about eating too much because our next stop was the great Canadian Super Store for groceries. We walked for nearly an Hour gathering most of everything that was on our Shopping List.

Back at Home after putting all the groceries away the only thing we could think of doing was sitting down to relax. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  3. A busy day indeed. Good news for Kathy. As to your shoulder, maybe you should try limiting yourself to a short period of polishing only every two days.
