I’ve mentioned many times how susceptible Kathy is if some person across the room sneezes chances are an almost certainty that she’ll catch it. Last night after shutting down the Computers I’m the one who started feeling like I had something growing in my stomach. Try as I might after not sleeping and feeling much worse I sat in the Recliner around 3:00 in the morning. In total I might had slept less then Two Hours for the night. The outside temp stayed at 68 F (20 C) the entire night without any breeze so we were feeling Hot.

Even though I was awake staying in bed to fight the shivers and just to rest was on my mind. After getting things set up for breakfast I had just started my Computer when Kathy came downstairs. She had barely gotten Three Hours of sleep because when I got up she woke up. Then when I did lay back down she was watching over me. Other then being tired she was feeling just fine. She suspected I had contracted a 24 Hour Stomach Flu because we had eaten all the same foods and she was fine.

By 10:00 this morning the temperature was in the Seventies feeling closer to Eighty and that was while we kept having Rain showers. I had to reprint our Medication Lists along with our Medical Histories. With the changes that have been made there were a lot of changes to be made.
We had a 2:00 appointment for this afternoon with our Family Doctor. The last time we were there he was running nearly Two Hours behind. Imagine our surprise when we got a call asking if we could come in early. Do wheels go round and round?
Kathy wanted a Lite Lunch so she made us Toast so we could finish the last of the Homemade Apple Sauce as a topping.
We were on our way out the door shortly before 12:30 heading for Windsor and managed to arrive at our Family Doctor’s Office just after 1:00. When we got called in together George reviewed the results of all Kathy’s Tests and was concerned that a couple of her medication were on the high side. (Her former Doctor had never discussed her Tests with her or changed her Medication in over Five Years.) George wrote new prescriptions for lower dosages on those so she can start to feel better.
George verified that there is a Flu Strain going around with the symptoms that I experienced. He also signed the Referral Papers to the Sleep Disorder Clinic for both Kathy and I. We’ve noticed the Symptoms we experienced prior to being diagnosed with Sleep Apnea returning. Like when we sleep solid the entire night only to wake as tired as we did before going to bed. Not Good!
With those Forms in hand we drove directly there. The Windsor Sleep Disorder Clinic was on our way to other stops we needed to make. The receptionist was impressed how thorough we were but the soonest she could schedule us in for a Consultation is July. We asked to be put on a cancellation list so if something opens up sooner because we are really feeling the effects of the Sleep Apnea.
Our next stop was to check our Mail at Guardian Storage. The one piece of mail was the Refund for Kathy’s in house Foot Treatment.
Stopping at Motor City Community Credit Union we cashed the cheque so we’ll have the money the next time Mary from Healthy Heals comes around. It was starting to feel cold outside because of the 34 MPH Wind gusts.
We drove to the nearby Dollarama where we found the Three Items we wanted for our Site in the seasonal section of the store. The total cost was less then Nine Dollars which was far less then One Item alone at the other stores.
We drove to the Zehrs grocery store where we spent some time getting everything on Kathy’s Shopping List.
Even though we had eaten hours before the water we were drinking wasn’t doing much for us. We stopped at McDonald’s where we each had a Blueberry/Pomegranate Smoothie. Not only did it quench our thirst but it satisfied our appetites.
A Mobile Dentist Office set up at the Devonshire Mall.
We headed for the E.C, Rowe Expressway because we needed to get Kathy’s prescriptions filled. It took only Twelve Minutes to cross the width of Windsor before heading up through LaSalle heading for Amherstburg.
It was after 5:00 when we arrived at Pharma Choice in Amherstburg. I mentioned the other day how the Ontario rules only allows them to dispense a One Month Supply on new Medication. Fortunately today these were the same kind of Medication just at Lower Strengths so when we left there we had both totally filled.
Even with food in the back of the Car neither of us were feeling like cooking. We stopped at Subway where we shared a Twelve Inch Variety Sub on Whole Wheat. That way we can each have the fixings we want and it was more then satisfying.
It was nearly 6:00 when we got Home. The Wind had really picked up forcing us to close the Windows we wouldn’t have to wear a sweater. That was when Kathy made the comment that she would like to be back in Quartzsite right now. When I showed her that it was 42 F more then here in Essex she quickly changed her mind.
Just finished adjusting Kathy’s Medication List to accurately show what she is now taking, Not sure what we’ll be doing tomorrow but it’s not suppose to be Raining. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  2. I love how you both look after one other. I am glad Kathy and you share a caring doctor that actually discussed tests results and adjusts medications accordingly.
