Doucettes, All Day Rain and Graduation.

Our Location today is at Wildwood Golf and RV Park, McGregor, Ontario.

We were once again awake within minutes of one another which meant that breakfast was done early. We both went over to our Computers though while Kathy was able to do all her reading the only thing I did was to check my E-Mails and The Weather Network. As soon as we’d sat down to have breakfast the overnight Drizzle changed to a steady Rain and The Weather Network verified that it would last the entire day.
Our Grandson Connor.
Kathy enjoyed her Tea while at her Computer. I had my Coffee between doing my inside chores and filling our Pill Doucettes. The fact that I fill Forty-Five Days worth of Doucettes means that I don’t always do them on a Saturday Evenings and I save time by doing it this way. It takes approximately an Hour to do both our Doucettes every week. Today I was finished in less then Two and a Half Hours doing Six and a Half Weeks worth meaning I saved Four Hours by doing this large batch at once.
Connor stands at Attention waiting for his Graduation Package
from the Principle. Can you tell he's in Cadets.
Connor proud of his accomplishment.
Since we were going to be eating supper out we kept lunch lite with a bowl of Penne Soup. This was one of those odd times we ate ready made Soup and we both agreed that we won’t try that one again. We also had a Cheese Stick and a Yogurt Cup to help with our Calcium intake.

We were headed out the Door wearing our Raincoats shortly after 5:00 driving all the way to the Knights of Columbus Hall in McGregor. We were there to witness the Graduation Ceremony of our grandson Connor from Grade Eight. What made this so very special is that Ecole Sainte Ursule is what is known as a French Immersion School. All the Students, Teachers and Staff talk strictly French the entire day except during English Class. These Children Young Adults will be in higher demand in the Canadian Work Force then those who only speak English.

The Ceremony started shortly after 5:30 and lasted an Hour. Many who attended left at that time which gave us time to get some pictures like the rest of the Student’s Families. Most of the Families like ourselves paid to stay for a meal and it was quite the meal.
Danielle Just tasted a Very Sour Candy.
It start at 7:00 with Grace before the servers started bringing out Dinner Rolls, Caesars Salad and Penne Pasta. Then they brought out Oven Roasted Chicken and Potatoes along with Mixed Vegetables. It was all done perfectly with very Lite Seasoning. Then they topped it off with a Hot Apple Crisp topped off with a scoop of Ice Cream just before they brought out the Coffee. The meal was delicious and well worth what we paid for it.
The Sun is setting over there.
Farmers Fields are flooded again.
While the Graduates and their Families mingled and talked the crowd began to thin. It was time for the Families to leave the Young Adults to enjoy a D.J. for a couple hours of well deserved Partying.
Our daytime high only reached 64 F (18 C) today because of the All Day Rain that only stopped minutes before we left the Party. I have lots of reading to catch up on but we’ll be busy all day tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. Connor is a handsome young man. Congratulations on his graduation and on being bilingual. Knowing two languages is always a plus and will give him a heads up on the competition when he joins the workforce.

Congratulations as well to the proud grandparents :)

  3. Congratulation to Connor for graduating the French Immersion School. What's next?
Isn't the weather down here in our area the worst we've ever had? Makes us appreciate the sunny and dry days even more.

  5. Nice family pictures! All three of our children went through French Immersion and our grandchildren are also doing French Immersion. I think it is the best way to learn another language.
