We hope that all our Male readers enjoyed a Happy Fathers Day but we were reminded that there are some Single Mothers that have to pull double duty and should be praised for doing so.
Taken just before 8:00.
When I woke up just before 7:30 and didn’t hear the Rain tapping on our roof I was certain that I could finish trimming along and cleaning the Patio after yesterdays Rain. I was in the process of getting things ready for breakfast shortly after 7:30 when the Rain started all over again. Scratch that idea off the list.
Everything is green or blooming.
I had managed to nearly finish all my morning reading when Kathy woke up. With the sound of the Rain once again tapping away on our roof it was unbelievable that she was able to wake up at all. She started inquiring something about building an Ark but she was struggling to keep her eyes open while having her Toast and Rhubarb Sauce for breakfast.

Just when the Rain itself would start to slow down it would once again pick back up. We read all the News, checked all the Weather Forecast and read all the Blogs on our Sidebar before Kathy sent out Happy Fathers Day wishes to our son Kevin. After finishing what few inside chores there were to do we even did a few Jigsaw Puzzles On-Line.
We finally had Pea Soup for a late lunch along with Bing Cherries and some Cookies for dessert.
Glancing out the Window we watched as the Rain Gauge kept increasing. We needed to go drop off a Fathers Day Card but figured it would be better to go after having something to eat. Kathy had me slice the Beef Roast we cooked the other day so she could make Sandwiches for supper along with a Yogurt Cup for dessert. We haven’t had a Roast that tender in years
Taken just before 3:00.
It didn’t take long to clean up the Dishes before we were on our way to Amherstburg. When we arrived Kevin was in the garage measuring pieces that he needs to fabricate for his Street Rod. After Kathy gave him a Hug and a Fathers Day Greeting she headed inside to visit with Melissa. It was last September that I had seen the work he had done but since lots of Family Celebrations along with the odd Party have been held in the Garage which had slowed his progress down slightly.
We soon headed inside to visit with Kathy and Melissa. We had missed our weekly visit this past Wednesday when one of their close friends had lost a parent and they needed to go pay their respects. Melissa still made certain we had a cup of Tea and a lite Snack before we said our Good Nights.
So much Rain these plants that we moved are thriving.
Even though it was over Two Hours since the Rain had finally stopped coming down there was so much Humidity in the Air that it looked like a Ground Fog in the Farmers Fields as we drove along. The Farmers Fields that I mentioned appeared to be finally drying up yesterday once again resembled Marshes.
When we got Home we checked today’s Rainfall. It was approximately Three/Eighths of an Inch and our High Temperature was only 61 F (16 C). It’s not supposed to Rain for a few more days but if we see the Sun we’ll be very Lucky. We’ll see what we can do. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
