Moving Day.

Our Location today is at Wildwood Golf and RV Park, McGregor, Ontario.

I was downstairs before 8:00 this morning packing away our Printer when Kathy joined me. We still were not sure what we would be doing today so discussed our options while having our breakfast. We took the time to enjoy our Coffee/Tea at the Computers while checking what was going on in the world.

After doing our usual morning chores we were out the door soon after 9:30. We could have easily walked over to our Seasonal Site but we drove the Escape over and parked on one of our Neighbour’s Site that we knew would not be coming out to the park until the end of May. By doing so if we moved today the Car would be out of the way but close enough if it was needed. Walking on the grass on both sides of our narrow street Water was no longer being forced from the ground like it had just yesterday. With appointments starting to pile up and one being tomorrow the decision was made that today was Moving Day.

Since the Truck was parked on our Seasonal Site we drove it back to the Transient Site on 10th Street that we were set up on. We worked together closing up the inside but since we have a habit of working until we are set up Kathy brought out the storage dish of Celery Root we made up yesterday for a quick lunch. The nice thing about Celery Root is that they taste just as good cold or hot and can be eaten as a meal like we did yesterday or a snack.

When I went out to start closing up our Utilities Kathy made certain everything was secure before bringing in the Slides. By the time she joined me outside she was able to retract the Rear Jacks along with helping me to check the Lights.

Due to the angle of the Site we were on and our Seasonal Site we had to snake our way through the park .31 of a Mile before maneuvering the Trailer into its home for the summer. Even with it being lined up with the Patio we still had to work it back and forth a bit because the ground was sinking below its weight. To level it off we needed to put boards under the Curb Side Wheels only to have to change them for slightly thinner boards.

Once unhooked from the Truck while I connected our Utilities and finished the front to back levelling Kathy was already starting to unwrap our Cedar Trees. In order for the weight of Snow not to damage the branches we have to wrap them in the Fall but in the Spring you want to remove the wraps to prevent the dampness in the branches from starting to cause Mould.
After smoothing out the Tire Ruts we made in the Grass along the Street we had the inside of the Trailer all set up by 4:00. I had to place another call to Cable 1 wondering why our High Speed Internet was not working. Their System is set up so that they can remotely activate each Site without even coming to the Park. Chris had accidentally activated the wrong Site.
For supper Kathy warmed up some of the Corned Beef and Cabbage she cooked yesterday in the Crock Pot. It tasted wonderful and was nice and tender. She also served some of the Jell-O she made yesterday and topped it with a couple of Cookies.

Our busy day tomorrow just got busier so I’ll tell you about it then. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
