After
wearing our Ear Plugs to bed last night we had no problems
staying asleep even with the constant roar of Traffic that
used the Walmart parking lot as a
shortcut from One major street to another. We must have been worn out
by all the Mental Stress from everything that happened this
past winter up to arriving to find only a mere handful of our Mail
when there should have been much more.
We
were both up around 8:00 this morning but the worry of what would we
do if our mail had been lost continued to eat away at us as we had
our breakfast. Another call to Guardian
Storage only to get the same new employee that had no idea
of where our Mail could be. I gave her a few for instances of
where it could be and she said she’d call us back.
The
next call went out to Wildwood Golf and RV
Park in McGregor where
we have a seasonal sight. Their season doesn’t start until the
beginning of May. I explained our situation to Val and she simply
said to come on in and if the Water wasn’t turned on in our
area we could use a Transient Site for the time being.
Our spot near the Walmart Building to block the Wind. |
With
that being the first encouraging news that we have heard in a while
we started packing the Trailer to move on. Just before heading
out the door I again called Guardian Storage
since it was well over the Hour since I had called. Her
response was “Well I looked but couldn’t find anything but Carol
will be back on Monday morning and she should be able to help us
then”. It was shortly after 11:00 when we left the East
End Walmart store.
We
headed south on Lauzon Parkway
until we reached County Road 42.
We then headed up to Walker Road
until we reached the Canadian Tire Store
where they have a nice large parking lot. Once parked along a curb we
walked in the Moderate Southwesterly Winds over to the A&W
for lunch. It was easier to get an early lunch then trying
to set up hungry.
Our Transient Site. |
Back
in the Truck it felt comfortable to be driving familiar roads.
After parking and briefly stopping at the Office
Val assigned us a Transient Site not far from our
Seasonal Spot because they’d had quite a bit
of Rain and the ground was soft.
Hooking up the Electrical Cable. |
Since
the Transient Sites are all pull through it took little time
to be parked ending our 16.9 Mile drive for the day. We did
walk over to check out our Seasonal Site to find it mostly the
way we left it other then a few extra twigs from off the Trees
that were covering our Patio. As for the Grass on
both sides of the narrow roadway just walking on it cause water to
surface. I could imagine the deep ruts the Truck and Trailer
would have left.
Back
at the Trailer we finished getting set up and disconnecting
the Truck. Inside we set up the Computers as well as
the CPAP Machines and Blue Flame Heater. It will be
going down to 34 F (1 C) tonight but feeling closer to
23 F (-5 C).
Since
we weren’t sure our MiFi would work since it didn’t last
year we decided to watch a movie called “Invictus”
starring Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon. We enjoy movies that are
based on True Life and this one recounts the events that
followed the election of Nelson Mandela as President of Africa
where he used the Country’s Rugby Team as a way of uniting
the nation.
We
didn’t feel like doing anything because of the cold Winds so
after a brief stretch we chose to watch a Comedy called “The
Heat” starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. It kept us
laughing.
Surprisingly
when we turned on our Verizon
MiFi we
had no problems getting connected. Tomorrow
we’ve got some chores and visiting that are overdue. Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be
Safe and Enjoy!
It’s
about time.

At least you are back in your park even if not in your space. I'm sure Monday your mail will get sorted out when the regular person is back. Enjoy your visiting day.
ReplyDeleteI guess its good to be back, even though it will take you a while to get settled in.
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling of traveling on familiar roads. MUCH more relaxing. Glad you made it safe and sound.
ReplyDeleteAfter the winter you guys had, you deserve a break where you can just relax and breathe. But I think your site definitely needs to dry out first.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home! Glad you got a site for a bit until yours is ready! I'm sure you feel like Monday can't come soon enough!
ReplyDeleteHome, sort of. At least you have a site for the next few weeks. Try not to worry about the mail, nothing you can so until Monday. Enjoy the day.
ReplyDeleteNice to be at your home park. Hope the site dries out quickly. The frost is coming out of the ground around here and I've seen some of the ruts the RV's are making when attempting to park. Best to wait it out.
ReplyDeleteEven though not on your site...at least you are in familiar surroundings.
ReplyDeleteHopefully Monday your mail issues will be resolved once the experienced employee returns to work.
Glad to hear you made it home safe.
ReplyDeleteLook at it this way no mail no taxes. Right
Take care
