Home Again.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Sunday afternoon after posting our blog we headed over to Gary and Jen’s for another visit with them but also a chance to visit with the grandchildren. While enjoying their company we were also invited to have supper while we were there. Gary did a great job of barbecuing some cheese burgers while Jen made Broccoli and Macaroni Salads that turned out wonderfully. Everything was delicious and then they topped it off with Strawberry/Rhubarb pie a-la-mode.
We decided it was time to leave when we saw the sun was starting to set knowing the kids had to get ready for bed because Monday morning they had to go to school and needed their rest. After hugs and kisses from everyone we were on our way back to the K.O.A. in Niagara Falls.
We arrived shortly after 8:00 and the weather was perfect for sitting outside and enjoying possibly our last campfire of the season. There was very little breeze and within a short time stars were clearly visible as the clouds disappeared. We enjoyed the fire until nearly 10:00 before heading in.
This morning after sleeping in we took our time closing things up getting ready to head home. The weather was slightly cool but with no breeze it was comfortable. Once the tanks had been flushed and everything stowed away we were pulling onto the road by 11:00 with little traffic in our way.
By 12:45 we were pulling into the Flying J in London for lunch at the Denny’s restaurant. We enjoyed another leisurely meal having our supper for lunch knowing we didn’t want to arrive around home during rush hour. I also called to talk with my uncle Bob to see how he was doing since he had been sick with the flu last Thursday. He was feeling a little better but still rough enough that he advised against Kathy and her weak immune system from visiting. We’ll probably get together before the holidays.
Back on the highway by 2:00 we made a short stop at the Tilbury service center to stretch and use a bit more time before heading to the storage yard. By 4:30 everything that needed to come back to the apartment had been loaded in the truck and we were leaving the yard just on time to get stopped by a train.
Notice the changing colors of the trees already.
By 5:50 we had put everything away and were enjoying our lunch of Parogies for supper. Tomorrow I plan to call our RV dealer to find out when they will be able to finish the warranty work on the trailer. Once they set a date for that then we’ll know if we can get another outing in for this season or if we’ll have to wait until after Christmas Day which is 106 days away for our next adventure.
Thanks for following along. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
