Ever notice when you are sitting still at your home base things start to be very repetitive. Yes even when we are travelling there are still the normal living chores to do but at home they seem to be the only excitement most of us experience.
Today almost fit that description as it started up with Kathy and I gathering the household laundry plus linens brought in from the trailer. Once everything was sorted and treated I headed downstairs to the laundry room. Much to my delight there wasn’t anyone else down there so I had no problems getting the washers filled and running.
I headed back to the apartment and read a number of blogs before heading back to put things in the dryers. Amazingly I still had the place all to myself so within minutes I was headed back to the apartment.
Again I sat reading more blogs until 11:30 when Kathy made us an early lunch because the dryers would be finished their cycle at noon. With lunch complete I headed back downstairs just as the first of the dryers was stopping.
By 12:45 I was back in the apartment putting the clothes away when the phone rang. It was our daughter Karen telling us she was on her way home to take Kylla back to the doctor’s because her abdominal pain had kept her awake most of the night and was not letting up today. Kathy told her just to take her in to the emergency at the hospital. They would do the Ultra Sound the doctor had scheduled in a couple of weeks immediately and take care of the problem right away.
After 4:00 Kathy and I headed over to the drugstore to pick up her prescriptions and vitamins for me. Next we went to Staples to look for a WiFi ranger extender that was recently suggested for helping us with the poor connections we have been experiencing in most the campgrounds we have been staying at.
Once we bought what we needed we went to A&W for supper. With the use of coupons both our meal cost less than what it normally would cost for one of us to eat.
Since the last time we fueled the truck was back in August before our last trip it was time to stop for a costly fill up.
Being that this is Wednesday we headed out to Amherstburg for our weekly visit with Kevin and Melissa. When we arrived Melissa was at the school for a Parent Teachers meeting where parents get to meet Cameron and Matthew’s new teachers for this school year. Once she was home it was a case of getting caught up on what’s been happening with them and some questions of different things they had read in our blog.
With it getting dark earlier and this is a school night we were leaving for home shortly after 8:00 so they could start getting the boys ready for bed. These shorter days also indicate that there are only 106 days left before Christmas Day. Thanks for following along. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

Everybody who visits your home
asks when it'll be finished
