We both slept late this morning due to the poor sleep we get when we are home. Oh! to long for the days of being on the road in the trailer. By the time breakfast was over and we had finished reading the blogs we follow it was almost noon.
Thinking of a change of pace might help our sleeping problems we made a date to go out. The weather was sunny and tolerable but the breeze was cool and chilling. The choice was made we’d go to see a movie at the Devonshire Mall Odeon Cineplex. Thanks to our children we had movie gift certificates left from last Christmas to use up. We love those gift certificates.
We were at the mall early enough to get our tickets in advance. From there we looked around the mall seeing if we could see anything that would interest us for Christmas gifts since it is only 97 days away. We struck out today instead finding something to add to Kathy’s Halloween costume.
As the show time approached we headed back to the theater and picked up our refreshments and went in to find our favorite seats in the house waiting for us. The show we chose to watch was Trouble with the Curve. Clint Eastwood was the character at center of the story while Amy Adams shone as the main star supported by Justine Timberlake. The plot was interesting and had the unexpected underdog as the real winner. Kathy and I gave it two thumbs up.
We walked in to the apartment just on time to catch the 6:30 weather forecast. We put a medium frozen pizza in the oven that helped top off the popcorn we’d had at the movies for supper.
We finally heard from our RV dealer today saying they are just waiting for the parts we need for our trailer. After they come in they will be calling us to set up the appointment to have everything repaired and the trailer winterized for the season so it will be ready for our winter departure to the Florida.
With Bob’s sudden change in health shortly after his retirement it almost derailed their dream of travel. With a lot of determination on both their parts they have been able to overcome this hurdle even as Bob continues healing.
Susan responded to my E-mail that after they had returned home from their winter travels this last spring there were other unexpected challenges that needed to be taken care of. Unfortunately with everything on their plate there was a need for time and it came down to leaving the Blog Post sit still for a bit. Most of us know all too well just how much time can be used keeping up our posts so put into similar circumstances we would probably do exactly the same. They are looking forward to heading back to Florida this winter and I’m sure we are looking forward to reading all about it.
Thanks for stopping by and feel free to follow along with us. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

Thanks for the movie review. Tracy and I have that one on our list to see, glad you enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate the recommendation on the movie. I'm always trying to scout out new movies to watch, and it's a challenge some times to avoid the stinkers. Often we think of Eastwood only in terms of westerns or "Dirty Harry", but he's made some pretty good films in the last couple decades. AND composed the music to go right along with them. I'm thinking of "Unforgiven" in that particular instance.
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't seen that one, I recommend it.
Nice to get out and about for fresh air, to tire you out, so that you will maybe get a better sleep.
