Even after an up and down night, we still managed to enjoy French Toast for a late breakfast.
Before we were finished eating, a Doctor’s Office was calling to confirm an appointment for not this coming Friday, but the following for Kathy. Since the Doctor only does Phone Consultations on Fridays, the receptionist tried to have us coming into the Office earlier in the week. We’ll stick with the Phone Consultations, no parking problems, no screaming children, no unprotected Coughing/Sneezing, no evil eyes from others waiting to see a different Doctor.
I’ve mentioned how we are trying to clean up Food before it spoil. That would be the same as throwing away our Money. Since we didn’t have lunch today we headed out shortly after 5:00 to change that around. With the Humidex already at 104 F (40 C), I picked Kathy up at the rear entrance.
Even though we mostly eat Frozen Pizzas from the grocery store, we haven’t had one in nearly a Week. They just don’t quite taste the same like a “Hot & Ready”, so we stopped in Little Caesars. Unfortunately, there is no place to sit and eat, so we sat in the Car with the AC on and enjoyed our meal. It may have cost more than we usually spend, but it was Hot and Ready to eat in less than Two Minutes.
We had Planned on eating before going shopping. As we were eating the sky went from Overcast to Black Clouds, then Lightning.
We headed back for home, with more Lightning showing us the way. I dropped Kathy at the front entrance just as it started sprinkling. Even with her wobbly knee, she made it inside fairly dry. After parking the Car, I tried running between the Rain Drops so I only took Ten Minutes to dry off. By the time I got in the Apartment, Kathy was looking out the Balcony Doors at Rain that was so intense, the only thing we could see beyond our Balcony was the Lightning. Around the time I finished drying, the Rain stopped and the Overcast Sky returned.
We later came up with a Plan for tomorrow. After watching “Criminal Minds”, the Weather Guesser on the “11 o’clock Local News” showed more High Temperatures with Rain heading our way. They didn’t even mentioned the Rain we had, but mentioned Detroit getting hit hard.
Just as we were closing up for the night, we saw that we missed a call from our daughter, around the time we were scrambling to miss the Storm. Sorry Karen!
