As My World Turns.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

In yesterday’s Blog I wrote that the Pharmacist had mentioned that this latest MedicationMay cause Drowsiness”. With the way I’ve been sleeping the last few nights, it’s does more than that. We always say sleeping in is anything past 8:30, but waking after Nine Hours and struggling to walk, is more than sleeping in.

After a breakfast snack, then a Grilled Tomato and Cheese Sandwich for lunch, I convinced Kathy we needed to get out for a walk. Needing to get socks from the lower drawer, when I bent over to retrieve them, my world started to Spin. I have had many bouts of Vertigo, the first by an Injury, the rest just come and go. Walking without the use of walls and my Cane would be a no-no, but I pushed on.

Like yesterday, walking out the rear entrance was like walking in a Vortex that more than tripled the Wind Speed because of the positioning of the buildings. Again, it felt like we should have been wearing our Parkas, but as soon as we were in the direct Sunlight, we were looking forward to getting out of it.

As long as I drive using Both Hands, the Brain accepts the signal that I am creating the movement, and the Vertigo subsides.

Our destination today was the Devonshire Mall, because we have hardly been there in the last few years. This would also give us a good amount of walking exercise. The moment I got out of the Car, the spinning came back, but I pushed on.

Inside this looked like a new building, Stores had been moved to other locations within the building. Other stores showed that they were no longer in business, while some we had never seen before were filling smaller locations. Kathy also looked in a few Clothing Stores, but unless you’ve just graduated and are showing what you’ve got, there was nothing in her style.

Since we haven’t done as much walking since my Shoulder Injury as we should be doing, we needed a break after an Hour. We sat in the Food Court and were lucky enough that there was an Air Vent blowing directly on us. The last time we were there, they only had Ten Vendors. Today, there was over Twenty and since it was time to have supper, that’s where we ate. We enjoyed Strawberry/Banana Smoothies from one vendor, then Orange Chicken with Fried Rice and Steamed Broccoli at another. The funniest part was that it all cost less than our DQ visit last week.

We wore some of that off, while making our way through the Mall to where our Car was parked. We had parked closer to the door, in a regular parking spot than a Handicap Spot. It seems they must think everyone with a Handicap, uses an electric scooter and needs to park further away, just for having that privilege. Dumb !@#$%.

We stopped at the Pioneer gas station to top off the Car with Gasoline. With the roller coaster prices, we took advantage of the lower cost.

Back in the Apartment, we took our evening medications, but I also took another tablet for my Vertigo. I’m not too worried about overdosing on these, since they were issued in November of 2011. They may be weaker than when they were first issued, but they always work after a few doses.

I was chuckling to myself while watching the “11 o’clock Local News”, because I remember my Late Wife watching a Soap Opera titled “As the world turns”. I don’t need to watch the television to see, As My World Turns. If I lay down, the room feels like it is spinning. It looks like I’ll be sleeping in my Recliner tonight.

Krackers

Why are doctors always calm?

Because they have a lot of patients.
