I may have only slept for a couple of Hours in my Recliner last night, but after that, I slept for nearly Eight in Bed. I woke up this morning feeling rested but groggy at the same time.
I managed to squeeze together a very light breakfast before we headed to our Computers. There has been a real decrease of RV Bloggers publishing lately, but today could have had a special reason. Today was the civic holiday called Emancipation Day that commemorates the Slavery Abolition Act of 1833, which officially ended slavery in the British Empire. The holiday itself is actually August 1st, but the Canadian Government changed it to the First Monday in the month of August. That would keep many away from their computers, giving them more time to spend with their Families. Not all employers give their employees this time off, so the first thing I did was to call Kathy’s Rheumatologist’s Office, to verify they were open today and Kathy’s appointment time.
Since lunch was only a few hours after our breakfast snack, we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Vegetarian Pizza. With a little time to spare afterwards, we cleaned up the Dishes and Kitchen.
We were soon headed out towards the town of Tecumseh where Kathy’s Rheumatologist’s Office is located. Though we were quite early, we had to wait an entire Five Minutes before being called in. After asking Kathy questions about her Arthritis and reviewing the results of her Blood Test, the Doctor suggested she continue on her present treatment and he would see her again in Six Months.
Though we have a number of Appointment Cards from different doctors, we have yet to find any 2026 Date Minders, to write them into.
Before leaving the parking lot I verified the address of a couple of doctors we have to see tomorrow. We found the new location to my Respiratory Specialist first, then Kathy’s Neurologist a half a block away, on the opposite side of the road. Our Family Doctor is concerned that some of her Medications could be causing her problems.
We were about to leave when I realized the time and suggested something different for supper. We went back to the Chinese Restaurant that we used to live next to. It is now under New Management and they are no longer open for lunch. Without looking at the Menu, it only took a few minutes to explain to the Waitress what we wanted. We busied ourselves reading their Horoscope Place-Mats, that were so far off they had us laughing. Five Minutes later our order began coming out of the kitchen, The food was as good as we remember and as typical we will be having another meal from all the Leftover Chinese Food we brought home.
We were too full to go grocery shopping and now we are not even sure that we’ll do it tomorrow.
I dropped Kathy off at the front entrance of our building because of the Poor Air Quality, from the Wildfire Smoke coming from the northern part of the Province. After parking I headed upstairs. The first thing I did, was to make certain that we took our evening Medications. It was only after I sat at my Computer, that I remembered the Leftover Chinese Food was still in the Car. At least the extra walking helped to wear down my supper.
Because
of the Civic Holiday, there was
no Local News
tonight, instead we watched a few episodes of “Forensic
Files”.
It will be interesting to see how tomorrow goes.
