More Mask Woes, Enjoying Leftovers, Tragedy In Former Workplace.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Most guys who wear a New Belt will recall how it seems tight when you first put it on then minutes later it’s loose. That’s exactly what happened to the Harness on my CPAP Mask last night. This was a brand new Harness that I used and it was not as pliable as the old one had been. When it wrapped around the Buckles it had a wide radius. Minutes after I fell asleep there was Air occasionally blowing in my Eye. At first I ignored it as a fluke but after the fourth or fifth time it was too much.

While still attached to the CPAP Machine and laying down I tried numerous times to tighten things up. Continuing to lose sleep I finally sat on the edge of the Bed disconnected the Machine and worked on the Harness until I was certain it would not leak. I slept like a rock for the next Three Hours.

Cloudy but Sunny.

It was nice to look out the Balcony Door this morning and see the Sun reflecting off the roofs of nearby homes. The strangest part was that the sky was filled with Clouds.

We spent most of the morning on the Computers checking the Weather, Local News, E-Mails and Blogs. I’ve mentioned lately that I have been job hunting On-Line so I’ve been getting notifications on my Computer. Imagine Kathy’s surprise when those same notifications started showing up on her Computer this morning and she hasn’t been looking.

For our late lunch Kathy recreated the Leftovers we brought home from our Christmas Day Celebration at our Daughter’s house. She chopped the Turkey added Peas and Spiral Noodles with Mayonnaise. It tasted great and there’s enough for another meal. We also share a Pear and Cookies for dessert.

Looking out we could see water dripping down from the Balconies above. Checking The Weather Network showed it was only 28 F (-2 C) but just the little bit of sunlight we were having was causing melting to occur.

Hours later still Cloudy with Sunshine.

I headed outside to clean off both the Car and the Truck. With a forecast for Freezing Ice Pellets later I didn’t want a base that would make it hard to clean.

We were actually able to watch the 6 o’clock Local News this evening. More rising Coronavirus Case Numbers are affecting the Local Area.

I’ve mentioned how I worked in a Casting Plant until they closed the doors in 2009. A Trucking Company has rented the Building as a Warehouse. Last week there was surprisingly a Fire in the office section of that Plant that caused considerable damage. This week a young worker that was trying to fix that damage was Fatally Injured. All the years I worked there nothing close to that ever happened.

For supper we had Macaroni and Cheese along with Orange Slices, Cookies as well as a Yogurt Cup for dessert.

We later watched a Hallmark Christmas Movie titled “The Christmas House”. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. I hope you are able to sleep well this evening and that your CPAP machine does not give you any more problems.

Snow and ice pellets sound besides very cold, miserable to me. The Krackers joke was funny!

  5. As a former Safety Manager in a manufacturing plant, a workplace fatality was the thing a dreaded most. Fortunately I was never comforted with that. Tragic.

We spent a few days around Christmas with daughter and family out near Houston. Son in law loves Hallmark Christmas movies. One after another, after another, after.... GAG! BARF! To each their own, not my thing.

  6. So a bit more sleep for you. That's good, bit here's hoping for better. Kathy is a good inventive cook. That combination for lunch sounds great. Like Ms Belinda, I always get hungry when I look at your blog.
