Merry White Christmas.

Kathy and I hope that everyone of our Readers, Family, Friends and Followers had a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah or whatever you call this Special Day. Even though little ones dream of Santa bringing gifts adults know the true meaning of this day. Having listened to the News over the last few days I believe many of those little ones might have learned a lesson in reality of their hero due to the Stimulus Bill not being signed. Sad.

Trying not to make my body dependent on medication to sleep I chose to only take a Melatonin last night. My night was filled with tossing and turning but at least I slept.

Kathy was surprised when I greeted her by saying Merry Christmas. With no set routine lately and spending most of our days under Government Lock-Down we have all started loosing track of time.

There was no doubt that we were having a White Christmas by simply looking outside. It was very picturesque but I was just glad that I didn’t have to shovel it. According to the Radar and The Weather Network it will have lasted over Twenty-Eight Hours when it finally ends. We are lucky that it will most likely melt away before the New Year.

We only took the time for a single cup of Coffee/Tea at the Computers this morning. We worked together creating a Spinach Salad recipe that Kathy found On-Line. She also was busy creating a Multi-Bean Salad that she found On-Line.

Knowing there was a good chance we might over-eat later we simply had Chicken and Rice Soup for lunch along with a Yogurt Cup for dessert. As soon as we finished eating the Kitchen and all the Dishes were cleaned and put away.

Saying Good Night to our Daughter.

While Kathy went for her shower I took the time to get a Workout in. It felt good to get rid of those Aches and Pains. Shortly after Kathy appeared nice and fresh it was my turn to get cleaned up.

Sanford with his Christmas Tree.

After bundling up we headed out the door around 3:45. Remember I said I was glad not to have to shovel the White Stuff. I spent Ten Minutes cleaning off the Car that was parked right next to our Truck. Glad we weren’t taking the Truck.

We arrived at our daughter Karen’s home in Tecumseh just past 4:15. The first one to meet us at the door was Sanford showing off one of his new Christmas Toys. As usual Karen was busy cooking up a storm. After we set up our Salads on the Sidebar Karen soon enlisted our help on a few things While I was busy mashing the Potatoes Kathy helped put food into serving bowls.

A multitude of desserts.

Greg added the Salad Dressing and Feta Cheese to the Salad we brought while Kylla, Kathy and Karen finished bring the rest of the food to the table. Tyler served up the Flavoured Carbonated Water. It’s been since Thanksgiving since we’ve gotten together and we all missed the interaction. Even with my See-Food Addiction I managed not to overeat at the meal. Then Karen brought out desserts. We both will suffer for it afterwards.

Kathy and Kylla

Tyler left to visit his Sweetie Jess and their pet Nova who at Six Months Old is now bigger and heavier then Eight Year Old Sanford. We continued visiting until nearly 8:00 before getting Hugs and saying our Good-Byes. Another Ten Minutes was spent cleaning the Car before we headed home. Don’t you love this weather.

Sanford looking sad as we get ready to leave.

Back at the Apartment the Wind started picking up and it now sounds like a Drummer on our Balcony Railing. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. It's interesting to note that even though they say that 9 trillion dollars (or whatever it was) was for covid relief, it was not. The vast majority of that money was being sent to foreign governments for ridiculous programs including gender studies, huge grants to museums and items having nothing to do with covid. They should be giving that money to American citizens, not foreign governments. The business bailout money is only available to bigger businesses, not smaller ones like my nieces bakery who is facing closing the doors. She doesn't qualify. I'm not surprised he didn't sign it.

  6. Rick I have to say I agree with everything Nancy said and you need to know the reason he didn't sign it is because he believes the American people deserve more than $600.00 a piece..he thinks $2000.00. Certainly would help the people who have been devastated by the shut downs (still not enough)..Why do we want to fund Pakistan's transgender study?!!!! Somebody needs to look at the 6,000 pages before it's passed! This is supposed to be a stimulus bill...well it certainly stimulates other countries! that out of the way, very glad you had a nice Christmas with your family!

  7. What a lovely day with snow (ha, I can say that easily as I don't have to cope with it but it is beautiful to see) and good food and good time with family! So glad you had such a nice time. Hope you have some good sleep nights ahead. Burrow down and be like bears.

  8. Special Christmas wishes to you both and to your family as well. You are so fortunate to be able to actually see someone on Christmas Day and share a meal. Not allowed here in BC, family or no family. Treasure every memory.
