Manitoba Plea, Chores and Meals.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

I guess staying up later at night has a couple of advantages. The first is you are so tired that your head barely hits the pillow and you sleep the rest of the night. The second which I always find weird is the later I go to bed the earlier I wake up. How else would I be getting these Sunrise Pictures? (The sad part is that again was all we saw of the Sun today.)

Only a bit of White Stuff near the bottom.
It was all melted by the end of the day.

With the Windsor/Essex County area being rated as a Red District the Local Health Unit is actually recommending we avoid going out as much as possible. The problem with that is our activity level continues to decline as well.

Doing chores and making our meals seems to be the most activity we’ve been getting when staying in. We’ve decided even with the cooler temperatures as long as we won’t get wet we’ll try to go for a few walks while remaining Masked.

For lunch we had Chicken Noodle Soup with a Donut pastry that came home with us yesterday and a Chocolate Pudding Cup for dessert.

We were surprised later in the afternoon when we checked the US News Media Channel to see what was happening south of the border and they were covering what was happening north of the border instead. The Premier of Manitoba was pleading with those that live in the province to not visit with their Family Members outside of their immediate home as a way of stopping the spread of the Coronavirus that has been skyrocketing lately. His plea was to give up visiting this year 2020 so we can all visit next Christmas 2021. Doctor Fauci said he wished that American Citizens would follow that as an example to save Thousands of Lives.

For supper we had Toasted Bacon and Tomato Sandwiches with a small Acorn Squash we shared as a side. We also enjoyed a Date Square and Chocolate Pudding Cup for dessert.

Watching the 6 o’clock Local News they were reviewing the local Coronavirus Cases and they were showing a high number. When they broke it down there were only Three actual Cases but over Fifty that had been tested and were awaiting their results. They also played the video from the Manitoba Premier.

We cleaned up the Dishes after the News. We’ll try to be more active one way or another tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. I am lucky here in Rockport Texas in that the area is big enough and population low enough that I can get out to walk and do other things and easily keep 15-20 feet from others outside. Even Walmart is easy to visit by hitting the low visitation times shown on the internet for the particular store. Of course my mask is ready at all times.
Thank you for all the nice comments on my blog.

  2. Being locked down ... that's why there are so many suicides which they prefer not to tell anyone about. There's no real way to know the actual numbers since so many tests are coming back false positive. I rather imagine that's the case in Canada also. I expect many more just like the regular flu every year. Do they plan on keeping everyone locked down year after year?

  3. I saw the Premier too but had no idea he was from Canada because he had a different flag from the one I associate with your country.

Like Dr. Fauci, I wish more people would listen to the Premier's plea not just in your country and mine but all over the world.

  4. What brand of chicken noodle soup is that anyway? Looks a lot better than Campbell's. If you are concerned about false positives, MIT has a good piece on that. They consider the rate not significant, though of course false positives do exist, just as do false negatives. Science is never absolute. Probabilities. And how to try to mitigate the bad stuff.
