Gone With The Wind.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Things were a bit more normal last night. Kathy slept soundly while I spent much of the night Tossing and Turning before finally just starting my day around 8:00.

After starting my routine and taking another picture of the Sunrise I realized that it seemed like a repeat of the last few days. Looking outside the entire sky was Cloud covered but on The Weather Network the icon was indicating a Bright Sunny Day. Guess they didn’t look outside.

When Kathy finally joined me she commented how she was feeling achy and closed in. I had mention to her a number of times lately about going for walks which would give her exercise as well as Fresh Air but she would look outside and decide against it.

Checking E-mails I was surprised to find a Local Business had been trying to contact me but since I normally only check them in the morning had missed out. I sent a reply then went about my normal Computer reading routine. Just before stopping for lunch I checked the E-mails again and was even more surprised that I had a reply.

For lunch we had Open Faced Toasted Cheese Sandwiches with Olive garnishing topped off with Cookies, Orange Slices and Chocolate Pudding Cups for dessert.

Walking east on Riverside Drive.

It was shortly after 1:30 when my Cell Phone rang and I was being interviewed for a job. Many of you remember after we had trouble with our Truck in 2019 I took on a job for the summer. I did not realize I was hired for that specific job and when it was completed I was laid off on day Eighty-Nine. That is not the way I remember getting a job years ago. That unfortunately is how many businesses work today.

With the spread of the Pandemic this year most businesses were not even taking applications. Though I have not mentioned it I have been out dropping off Resumes after loosing the first batch. That cost fuel and time.

Unmelted Sxxw.

Today it seems that most employment opportunities are On-line. That in itself is a learning curve. The interview went well so now it’s back to a waiting game.

Canada Geese having a snack.

Our afternoon temperature was above Freezing but the Gusty North Wind had it feeling well below. Looking down on the Trail behind out building we knew to dress in layers by seeing others exercising.

With the cold wind Kathy felt just right.

Seeing Kathy do things you would never know she was born with a Heart Defect. When it gets Windy Kathy has a hard time to breathe. With the Mandatory Mask wearing bylaw presently in place it actually helps Kathy. Since the Wind is blowing into the Mask it is warming the air she is breathing and she then has no issues.

Circling back up Clearview.

What Kathy did have an issue with was the walking. Due to spending so much time inside and at the Computer lately she felt stiff when we started out. By the time we got back she was getting limbered up and can’t wait for our next walk. It may not sound like much but we managed to walk around a Mile outside this afternoon.

For supper Kathy sauteed Potato Slices along with Sliced Ham. I tossed up a Caesars Salad. We also had a Donut for dessert and a glass of Carbonated Juice to drink. It tastes real good but is Fake Wine.

Heading through the  Park.

We watched the 6 o’clock Local News where they talked about more Coronavirus Cases and the Vaccine they hope will be approved shortly after the New Year.

After the News we cleaned up the Dishes before watching a Hallmark Christmas Movie. It finished just on time for us to watch the special “Presidents In Waiting”. It showed how the job of being Vice-President has become more involved since Jimmy Carter and Walter Mondale era.

Since it will feel like 14 F (-10 C) overnight we’ll see what happens tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. Kissinger was certainly correct!
It's interesting to me that Canadians like green olives. I see them in lots of pictures. They were seen only once in our house and never eaten. Nice to have someone to walk with!

  4. Oh. What a great thing. You were brave and went out for walks in such cold. It does make a person feel better. After it's over. And again, the great grilled cheese with olives. I haven't had a grilled cheese since I saw your last one with olives, but hope I remember. I think I would like it!
