After taking the time to write last night’s Blog I couldn’t seem to highlight it so it could be copied. Having had an increase in similar problems I decided to test what I suspected to be the culprit. Kathy had already gone to bed so I simply borrowed the Mouse from her Computer. Within seconds of connecting it to my machine I was uploading the Blog with no problems. In other words my Mouse died. Problem solved.
The light seemed to be bright seeping in around the Blinds this morning so a peek revealed that we’d had more of that White Stuff come down overnight.
You can barely see the bottom of the Modem
and just the main Wires under the Desk.
This morning after a quick glance at my Computer I started wearing away at my Projects. Having the Modem sitting on top of our Desk taking up space was not an option. With a few measurements it was soon mounted behind the Knee Board under the Desk. Plugging all the Power Cords left a pile of Wires hanging making it appear messy. Mounting the Power Bar near the Modem then tying the Wires together left only the main Wires in view.
The Headboard I mounted yesterday.
I spent a short time replacing the standard Toilet Seat with a new Easy Close one. We had them in both the Avalanche and our Eagle to stop unexpected noises that wake your partner during the night because you accidentally dropped it shut.
The Bedroom Window Blinds. Still have the Curtains to mount.
The walls are the same colour as in the picture above.
When we were looking for an apartment and we thought that we had gotten the one in Walkerville Courts Kathy had purchased an Area Rug for the living room On-Line. We spread the Rug out this morning only to find that is much too large for our Living/Dining Room. Looks like it will be going to the Yard Sale.
Kathy made a hearty Vegetable Beef Soup along with Cheese and Crackers for lunch topped off with a Yogurt Cup for dessert.
Our new smaller dining set
Back in the Bathroom I replaced the standard straight Shower Rod with a new Curved Shower Rod. Since the holes in the brackets were spaced slightly different I had to add Two More Holes in the Ceramic Tile to make it work. By the time I finished it didn’t show but we can now enjoy our showers without being wrapped up in the Curtain.

Yesterday I dealt with the Modem issue so today try as I might for an Hour the Cable Connection just would not turn on. I spent the next Hour and a Half with Tech Support with no luck. We now have an appointment for a Technician to come to our apartment on Sunday afternoon to get us hooked up.
Kathy decided to make Stir Fry for supper and what she used was anything available in the Fridge. It tasted wonderful and we topped it off with Date Squares for dessert.

We headed downstairs shortly after 4:30. Due to the Cold Winds that affect Kathy’s breathing I had her stay inside the Back Entrance. When I went to back the Car out of its spot it got hung up on the ridge of SXXW that the Plow had left behind the vehicles. Luckily we carry a shovel in our Car and Truck so the problem was taken care of quickly and I was soon picking Kathy up at the Back Entrance.

We made a quick stop at Staples where I purchased a new Corded Optical Mouse for my Computer before continuing on to Amherstburg. Tonight we were visiting with our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa. Kevin was feeling much better after having his Cracked Tooth removed last week. Melissa made certain there was plenty of hot Tea to warm us up with. There was plenty to talk about with lots of laughter for good measure.

We left their house just before 8:00 and I parked the Car at 8:40 hitting Green Lights all the way. I’ve already tried the new Mouse and it’s working much better. We’ll see what we are up to tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. I love the headboard and the dining room set. Too bad the rug is too big. As for the mouse, the only good one is a .........., oh - wrong kind of mouse. Glad you got that working too.

  6. I love your headboard and your dining table that folds down taking up less space.

I know you are a welder but have you ever considered being a handyman? Bet you could find a lot of work. Many of us single ladies would welcome a hand with our unfinished or not even started projects. Just a thought.
